A Fix To Hook Suicide

In the event we want to prevent hook suicides in the future, here's my solution.

  1. Attempting to escape the hook no longer kills you faster, instead the punishment will apply the broken status effect for a stack able duration for each failed attempt. i.e 15s per attempt or 30s per attempt, meaning the maximum duration of broken could be 45/90 seconds.
  2. The struggle phase no longer requires the survivor to press space bar, and instead the entity will kill the survivor when the time runs out.

Personally the first suggestion would probably be enough to stop people from kiling themsemves at the start of the match, but if we don't want a suicide in the 2nd phase then both changes will do the trick.

If these changes went through I'd suggest that Slippery Meat negates the broken penalty for attempting to escape the hook. Which would give it an advantage over deliverance.

in my games is very often the players themselves have killed for camping. Maybe we should give extra bloodpoints for the distraction killer on the hook? (sorry for my english)

if hook struggle changed to pyramid's cage mechanic with the skill checks instead of the buttonspam that'd work nicely. you could technically still die, but it'd take a few missed skill checks first to give the killer / your allies time to do something.
