New UI, what it wants to be?

Currently the new UI has 2 themes, the colorful realistic one (Survivor portraits) and the simplistic mostly white one (Basically everything else), I think these two themes mixed up look really ugly...

I think the Survivor portraits should be changed to something similar to adept or tome Survivor portraits, that would look really nice in my honest opinion!

Agreed. I don't know why they won't use the Adept portraits. At the very least have the realistic portraits be grey scale so when color from injury, sickness, etc. pop up they stand out rather than blend in.

I agree. The portraits just muddy things up. They're basically HUD pollution. I don't think we even need them at all.

If you want to know which character is which you can pay attention in the lobby. Or pay attention during the match. Or failing that just hit ESC and bring up the menu that'll tell you who's who.

The HUD/UI is still not very useful.

    1) You have a large area of real estate on the monitor dedicated to the Power/Item and add ons, there is no information to be gained from these while in the match, you can't even mouse over them, thus they should not be so large but more like they were previously as it does give information to remind you what is going on.

    2) The survivors in a tower at the lower right to the middle of the right side is still not useful as you have to SCAN them more than a glance to see what is going on with them. Also the bar that shows how much hook time is left is still so tiny that you have to concentrate to see it which tears you away from possible skill checks, killer coming at you, and other things as a survivor and as a killer it takes too much time to do this you loose sight of where you are going and what you are doing.

    3) The small gen counter is squished between the line border of the huge power/item area and the tower of survivors. this means that it's easy to miss or losse between all the information there again causing you to take concentration away from the game just to see how many gens. and when the gens get done, it turns into what looks like a 5th survivor escaping! THIS is very confusing and very distracting on both sides.

    4) The scoring events on the right hand side cause confusion when you have a status effect there AS WELL. though it is a good place to do it I'd recommend ramping the size of the status icons up to differentiate them from the scoring effects.

    5) the actual skill check UI piece, this is acctually quite well done and it is better, could be a tiny bit bigger but even the scalers only go up to 100% so you only have the choice of shrinking it.

What I recommend is this: survivor portraits line the bottom of the screen as they did, and something that makes it easy to see at a glance they are injured or hooked etc, a border line, then on top of that the gen counter and the power/item this is how others have suggested and it gives you all the information you need (though i'd shrink the portraits a bit) in a match at a glance and doesn't take away from watching the main area of the screen. I'd also recommend not using the color portraits of the survivors because the cosmetics they can wear sometimes make them look very different and it could be confusing. The white silhouette style that was before is perfect as it stands out and gives great information and any bit of color could easily have a difference to be seen. I'd still leave the scoring points to the right (or move them to the left. but leave the status info on the right but make it bigger to a point, it doesn't have to be THAT big. The skill check wheel let it be or allow us to scale it bigger if we wanted.

I disagree. Survivor portraits are a good addition. However I agree with the others, they should be changed to the adept portraits or something similar.

I like the survivor portraits just think they should use the adept ones, it will look less cheap.

+1 for adept achievement portraits, i'm still sad they didn't add 'em to this latest hotfix.
