Father Campbells Chapel has tons of infinites
It's insane. I was playing wraith with tinkerer, bbq, ruin and pop.
I killed one person and it was 3 left with 2 gens. They had an insanely safe map. The gen in the church was so safe, they could just jump into the window and get out every time. The bottom windows were safe as well and I could not catch them without the windows blocking. My ruin wasn't cleansed the entire game so my tinkerer was carrying me. I legit spent 25 mins with the last 3 survivors because I was physically not able to catch them.
A nea had balanced landing and abused it with the map. If I committed too much to a chase they would 75% a gen, so I had to go there and stop it, the other 2 gens were in safe zones as well. I guarded my gens but it took me 25 mins to down them because I had to force them to vault 3 times so the windows block up in order to catch them and make sure not to lose any gens... It's insane. I have 4k hours in this game but I have never seen such extremely safe layouts in the game in a long time. EVERY WINDOW WAS SAFE in the middle and they had shack, etc. They just needed to vault, run in a circle, vault and do it again until it blocks, then run to the next window. The gen would go to 75% and I had to leave.... Rinse and repeat.
I wish I recorded that match because it was basically impossible to win, they just ######### up at the end and let me 3 slug them. IDK what's wrong with the devs that they allow such broken setups to spawn.

Without ruin and tinkerer I would have lost. Even with those perks it took forever because of insanely safe layouts. Top of the chapel had 2 completely safe windows, the bottom had 2 as well... It was so disgusting. The rest of the map was as trash.

Yeah I noticed this on the ptb, its like 2017 DBD with some of the window spawns.
Theres also one window which is a guaranteed 3 times around safe window.
The designers clearly have no idea what they’re doing. What a disgusting bait & switch. They fix the maps last year just to sneak in stupid windows again in the graphics overhauls

Fathers Campbells was the most balanced map in the game then they decided to ruin it by adding those god awful breakable walls although the windows in the church have always been unreasonably strong those walls just made everything worse

I noticed this too when I was playing as Billy. I really hate what they did to this map.

They made the main building incredibly safe, even more than it already was. Its got way to many extremely good loops. I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to put 5 breakable walls on it either.

I mean you are playing wraith with no chase perks, I’m not sure what you expect. The majority of the maps in the game are going to be disgusting as a pure M1 killer. I play him as hit and run with sloppy butcher a lot of the time.
With no corrupt you should expect to get gen rushed unless you are very high mobility, and even then it’s basically giving up the first gen totally for free.

What chase perk could have helped?? Brutal strength? I already broke most pallets (had the addin for faster break speed and the one that uncloaks me afterwards instantly) but it was useless because of safe windows. Even enduring, spirit fury, STBFL, etc would not have helped. Bamboozle wouldn’t even matter because it can only block one window at a time and there were plenty of god windows next to each other. Also they could jump through there or balance landing off of a platform before I could get there.
Ofc I hit and run, otherwise I would have no chance at all on Wraith.
And what are you talking about corrupt? It wouldn’t have done anything because as a Wraith its easy to find survivors at the start of the game and tinkerer was way more valuable in protecting gens. Corrupt is super overrated if you aso me, it gives survivors more incentive to look for my ruin totem as well.

Glad I’m not the only one. No wonder the devs make maps like this... they don’t know how to loop and abuse windows but good survivors know that very well and that makes this map completely busted.

They probably looked at statistics and saw killers had a slightly higher win rate or something and just massively over shot their goal again.

How would chase perks help? There's to many windows for bamboozle. Sure you could eat pallets and breakable walls with BS and/or Enduring but you will lose by the time you kick them all.

Idk how they managed to make those windows even worse but...hey, they did. Gotta give them credit where it's due, because I've never seen a dev team get progressively worse at designing maps for their game, they usually get better when they start to figure out what makes a good map. Not BHVR apparently.

They fixed the maps last year as a bait & switch. Address the windows after years to get killers to come back and then screw up the maps a few months later in the graphical updates with either overpowered windows or tons of god pallets like The Game.
We’ve gone back to the days where you need to equip Bamboozle on M1 killers because if you’re caught in one of these maps without it you’re in for a bad game.
I managed to mindgame the campbells chapel window because the survivor wasnt looking behind them. Didnt really matter because they had DH to make up the distance, what a fair and balanced perk. But thats how the devs want it, you only get a hit if the survivor makes a mistake.
These are the worst kind of maps because the windows are dead center of the map so they can be accessed easily. Everytime a wraith chased me here I hugged this window, he couldnt do a damn thing and after wasting so much time he gave up later everytime he saw me run there.
What a stupid design. Whoever is designing these maps clearly isn’t qualified for the job.

yeah i feel the same. it was pretty well balanced before and now it feels like every entrance to the main building are windows which is known to be slow vaulted by killer and great way to make distance as survivor.

This is the worst map with the game and ormond for killers, this game is unfair to killers dont forget that. You will sweat with every killer except nurse.

Yeah it is way too easy to run the chapel, first time I tried it I ended up running the Oni for four gens until he left me. Especially if they don't break particular doors it becomes too safe.
The stairs with the breakable wall and the vault is too safe as to the left there are stairs and now more often the stained glass window or the ramp vault and to the right there is almost always that floor level wooden plank vault, not to mention the vault that usually spawns opposite it on the other side of the chapel. Even breaking the breakable door it takes too long to drop down that the person can just take the vault up the stairs. They even added a railing to the stairs which makes faking it as killer 100 x more difficult

I would never have imagined that Chapel's windows could be worse... And yet they did it.

The only problem with that map was the chapel in my opinion. Too many safe windows, drop downs and things like that. They only needed to balance the chapel itself not change the whole map. Yet they did not balance the chapel again...

I just played on chapel as a survivor and ALL windows were removed on the top of the chapel, there wasn't a single one, not even the god window next to the gen. And downstairs were 2 really unsafe windows...
So apparently you can have insane luck as a survivor and get every god window possible or not get a single good window at all... Like #########?

Because it's not a bug, it's just flat out terrible design.
I'm going to try my best to explain the Chapel but I've had to knock something up in MS paint so be patient with me guys. I've drawn a diagram of the chapel depending on where the basement is, both diagrams represent what the maps look like once the breakable walls have been destroyed. So this is the optimal approach for the killer.
This is what the Chapel looks like when the basement spawns in the shack.
So you have a window at the top of the outside stairs, a window on the wall to the side, and a window across which is that part where there is a door and rubble. So to make it clearer the triangle at the top of the image represents this window
With this spawn I feel the window on the far right of the image is too strong for M1 killers. It's a 3-times-around window, and "mindgames" only work if the survivor isn't looking behind them or latency.
Now the real beauty is how the Chapel looks when the basement spawns inside the chapel...
The real damage dealer here is the window next to the basement. Damn is that a strong window.
You can go up the outside stairs, drop inside, run straight, vault the window, to the right and around, vault back inside, across and out of the basement window and then back up the outside stairs onto the inside. It's horrendous. This is old school DBD design.

I played this on the ptb and I had a survivor use like 20 windows against me in the Chapel alone. Luckily it hasn't come up in playlist for me yet but I am afraid when it does. It's window into window into window.

Weird thing is all windows on top can be open and only 2 very unsafe windows on the bottom can spawn. The RNG on this map is insane...

Ok I found a new terrible RNG. It seems the bad windows can indeed spawn even if the basement is in the shack. Previously I thought the basement had to be in the chapel for this awful spawn.
All these windows directly across from each other. How do you expect an M1 killer to deal with that? is this literally why Tricksters window Hex was created? lmao
Two of those windows might not look strong by themselves, but when you can chain all 3 together like this it's incredibly strong.

This map is even more busted than the game. The game has tons of save pallets but once they are gone you can kill survivors easily. Also, if you don't break doors theres tons of dead ends which help the killer a lot.
Just had a game on the chapel again with 3 god windows... Literal god windows. I could not catch the survivor as blight (and I'm a good blight with a 50+ win streak) but it was impossible. They split up immediately and sit on gens and always sprint bursted or deadharded to save windows in the chapel, nothing I can do there.
This is so dumb, the devs NEED to fix the RNG on the window spawns, god windows should not spawn in this building at all!
