Idea: Free trial killers
Supposing someone regrets a purchase or not sure who to buy.
Or they don't like the free killers for one reason or another.
What about free trial for one week with at least one random killer?
The bloodweb will not be available.
Only loadout and a few random add-ons.

Actually, the game used to sort of have that. There were pink offerrings called "splinters" that allowed people to play as a perkless, addonless version of a DLC killer when burned, isnread of whatever killer had the offerring in their inventory. They were removed for a bunch of reasons, mostly lisence issues I think.

They actually used to have something like this! They were offerings you could get in the bloodweb to try out a couple of the licensed killers, but they got very very buggy, cluttered the bloodweb, and were retired. I'd love something like this coming back, though.

Funny you mention that. There used to be items called "Splinters" that occasionally appeared in the killer bloodweb. Splinters allowed you to play as a particular killer for one match without unlocking them.
But they were quietly removed some time ago...

Splinters cluttering the bloodweb are a bad idea.
Better idea is weekly free killer, with all of his basekit perks equipped, to see not only the killer but also his perks.
Therefor it can be done for survivors as well...

Have not tried burning. I'II try later. For the record I got one in the bloodweb just last week. I have a lot of locked killers.
I got this on nurse last week when I was doing the nurse quest in the rift. Seems they been retired. Didn't know that, I find it unusual that they still show up in bloodwebs even though they've been retired.

They show only if you didn't lvled up the killer for a long time.
They still are present on bloodwebs, if they spawned on them, when they were in game.
Same is with the event items (im pretty sure i still have halloween addons, offerings and items on some killers and survivors)

If they just gave players access to every killer in KYF, then everyone would be happy. I just think certain license holders (cough Konami) would be a little less keen on "free" content than other license holders like Netflix.

People have been talking about the splinters, and I just wanted to mention that they put a reference to them pretty late in the rift as a killer charm.
