Killer sucks
-be me, rank 1 killer and survivor
-getting bored of the game recently
-devs claim their new mmr system helps people learn new killers they are bad with
-decide to finally start learning nurse, the hardest killer and a killer I've NEVER used before
-prepared for a rough start
-go up against a strong team, expected.
-lose terribly. It's fine, just keep practicing
-still going up against strong teams. I guess, I'm still in red rank to be fair
-fast forward to rank 5, dropped FROM RANK 1. Depipped every game except 2 which were black pips
-still going up against strong survivors that would give me a good run on my mains
-convinced the devs just freaking lied and this new mmr is complete bs
-impossoble to learn nurse, at least in a short amount of time since I'm a college student
-no way of having fun
-keep going against sweaty teams as killer, but get the worst teammates as a solo queue survivor
-devs are pushing away their own players with these crappy updates
-fed up at this point, uinstall dbd
Edit: didn't realize the new mmr didn't come out yet. Guess I'll try again when it does. It still doesn't clear up the fact that gen speed is broken and even after dropping ranks so much I still go up against strong teams, and don't get the same support when playing solo survivor. It's inexcusable at this point.

Should wait for them to use the new MMR

Don't want to be the bringer of bad news, but MMR isn't actually in use yet.
2 -
that's only gonna make it worse for the best killers lmao

They said they're complaining about not getting matched against survivors that are on the gameplay-level of "his Nurse". That's why they mentioned the MMR.

I would like to know how theyre going to balance it for that. If you are a machine as a killer are you gonna get all the bully squads? I would absolutely make a smurf account and ######### around if that was the case.
2 -
Just make a smurf account and practice nurse, I never quite understood why anyone would think they can learn nurse starting in red ranks.

That's typically what people do in games, especially ones that are free games like league where it was incredibly common. You get burnt out or just wanna roflstomp some people and you make and save a fresh account or few to hop onto sometimes. I'm pretty sure if mmr works as intended that'll become fairly common in this game, not that people don't do it already to use a low smurf to get their swf a rank 16 killer or something it'll just become a normal thing to deal with especially when the game is on sale. There is really no way around it, besides rolling the eyes when you recognize one especially when you're on one and wanted to enjoy a good steamroll without competing to carry your team better lol. Depending on how many survivors mainly swf are doing it, it may or may not be a good idea for burnt out killers to do it. It'll depend on how likely they are or aren't to evade the 'bully' squads doing it. But if it keeps them playing...

No I'm complaining because I'm not even getting a chance to learn nurse. The gens just fly by way too quick and I'm literally trying to learn the basics to nurse. But I didn't realize the new mmr wasn't out yet which is why I complained. Guess I'll wait for it to come out

Ah so that's what it is. My bad. Guess I'll wait for it to come out

Yea I just realized. That's my bad. Still, the game is boring and unbalanced and I don't feel like using the same killers over and over so ill just wait for the mmr to come back and retry nurse

I play on console so that's out of the bag

So. When does the know when the new MMR comes out?

idk, i thought it already came out which is why I made the post complaining about it cus it didn't look like it worked. I would assume it will come out with the chapter 19 update

Actually I learned Nurse when I was rank 2.
And that was hurtful. Like, really. Just take the Plaid Flannel the first two games and the Wooden Horse, then switch to Horse and the Dark Cincture.
And take a solid regression build that would give you free chase to train :
Tinkerer/Undying/Ruin/Sloppy
That way you can stop them to make the game lasting longer. Plus Sloppy would sometimes make a few survivors staying injured, giving you easier chases !
That way, you'll have far less stressful game.
And if you reeeally don't like to run Undying/Ruin :
Sloppy/Nurse's Calling/Chili/Infectious
Gl gl mate, you'll need it. You'll get comfortable with Nurse in several weeks, and you'll be unstoppable in a month (it depends on everyone, but in red ranks sure it's longer, but you'll get good habit of how good surv are reacting facing Nurse).

Why don't you ask people to do a kyf to practice her people who know how to play nurse. Also watch youtubers that play her. Nurse is hard. I remember the first time I played her someone dc just because I landed a blink hit on them.

this game is not worth smurfing on with the terrible grind , especially when the mmr is coming soon.

Funny thing is I use that same build. I just don't think ruin undying is viable anymore after the nerf, devour would probably be better now. Thanks anyways tho, I'll try again when I go back home in 2 weeks lol

I think it's still viable, like, Ruin was already viable before Undying. It's just less powerful than before, sure ! Currently I'm with Chili/Haunted Grounds/Undying/Devour, that's my main build as Nurse, terrifying build on her. Replacing Chili or Undying with Retribution, super fun build too.
But these builds are not great to actually learn Nurse. Use regression and sloppy builds, and I'm not a big fan of ShadowBorn, you use it, you're addicted to it, worst than sugar and drugs.
And play to lose. Until you're comfortable with Nurse, play with the mindset "I'm gonna lose terrible" and assume it, play to learn, not to win, and when you meet a**holes, do your game, and get through the next game. Playing like that will make your game a little bit better (or less worse ?).
