has anyone properly tested the following on the ptb?
I can'T play the ptb myself due to internet et all, but I do see a mix of calls for buffing the new killer, nerfing him, lowering the hit count of the knives, upping it, etc.
But i wonder, has anyone tested out the following:
M&A on the killer, how many hits can you get in before survivors jump off a gen/start running in general?
Because this is one of the main complains brought up against deathslinger. that using M&A gives him an unfair advantage due to the smaller TR and how his chain (and iri coin) work.
And with the new killer... he has the same TR etc, so has anyone tested for this specific thing? Probably plus STBFL too?

Monitor, as you predicted, is insanely good. Stbfl on the other hand isn't that great. The best build I can think of is corrupt, monitor, bbq and iron maiden/pop depending on your playstyle

Why iron maiden?

I guess its to increase reload speed but it doesnt really work on him. Either a bug or not a feature.
2 -
Oh yeah, i too trying test this with but its not working. Yeah i really hope this is bug

Reloading speed and a good instadown if you get lucky (since his tr is 16 meters he can sneak up and instadown)

Several people have tested his reload time with IM, and found it had no affect.

Does anyone know his max range for throwing?
0 -
In theory it's 128 meters (map-wide), but that doesn't take trajectory into account.
1 -
Wait... you reload on trickster? Why not just m1?

Monitor is only good on slinger because while his TR should be 16m, its not noticeable for survivors to react until he’s about 8m out.
Monitor doesnt have the same effect on Hag, or Spirit for example and even Myers at 16m doesnt have the advantage DS does.
Sadly from my observations so far it doesnt work as good on The Trickster either. Its good like it is on Hag but its not game changing like it is on Ds. Deathslinger is one of a kind busted.

I used it myself, tbh I didn't remove it from my build so it is entirely possible that I'm mistaken :^)

If you wanted to test it and come back with a confirmation, that would be swell. I can't get IM to pop up on my bloodweb as Trickster, so I have not been able to test it myself. I've only had the word of other testers to go off of.

I think Monitor is not bad on him, but not as good as on Deathslinger. The difference is with what happens when you land that first shot. With the Trickster, you've got one laceration in and an opportunity to land maybe a few more before the Survivor makes a run for it. With the Deathslinger, you've just straight-up got an injury in already if they're healthy (if they're injured, whether or not you get the down depends on whether you can successfully real them in).
110%. Unless you're already close to them in an area with no good loops, I don't think you have good odds of catching them.

Well... thats the most pathethic thing with him... he doesent gain range (unlike huntress) when injuring with knifes because of how long he is under slow down effect.
And somehow when you finally get a few last knifes you could have just m1...
Oh... and playing around pallets? Forget about reading the survivor like huntress, its not worth it on him...
Like seriously... you get better effects overall when NOT using his power... especially on good loops, where survivors can just use line of sight blockers most of the time, its so pathethic

Additional question:
Can he throw in an arch? I haven't seen anyone try?
0 -
He does throw in an arch, due to gravity.
0 -
c'mon, you know I meant like up, like huntress
0 -
And I said yes and explained how the arch itself works. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
0 -
Yes, but since you can't control the power of the throw, you can't really use it for super tricky shots.
0 -
give it time and people will find a way to make it 'rain knives'
0 -
Unfortunately I can't because I returned to regular dbd after having to wait a 30 minute queue for my 5th time in a row :(

M&A is good but sadly his power is pretty weak against actual good players, and you can play powerless killers against bad survivors so I dont get why people say hed dominated bad players as if every killer dont... the issue he has is the 110 speed with the chance to injure right away, you play the same mind game at pallets like huntress etc. But you get a few blades in, it takes 8 to down someone and If you dont get the 8 quickly they recover. Personally I wont be buying him in this state, I hope he has alot of good changes as hes interesting, but I wont play a trash killer, and hes the only one iv ever questioned about buying a killer before lol

Because its bad.
You need 8 hits to injure someone and if you don't, everything resets automatically... survivors dont even have to mend... so the value is less than hitting someone injured with legions power.
When having knifes ready you get slowed down, it doesent matter if you are throwing or not. Which makes it really useful only on short range... but then, most of the time you could just m1 and have the same effect.
It's very innacurate to throw fast and throwing single blades is very slow.
The only way to make his power worth using is to use ricochet and throw under survivors feet, so you need still only 4 hits...

Good luck doing that with any surivor with iq higher than of a potato.
Following your logic right here i can tell, that burger king myers or walking nurse (without matchbox) is good.
Burst of speed and attack cooldown will always allow survivor to reach save area...
