Well gens are your primary objective so it shouldn't be difficult to move to a different side of it. And we shouldn't judge a perk of killers or maps then we might as we say Stridor is OP because it's so great on only Spirit. And old balanced Landing was fine but got nerfed because of Haddonfield.

Killers learn where to go next through experience, it's why you don't see BBQ being run in tournaments. It's also not very effective on a lot of low-mid tier killers as wandering the map back and forth only gives the survivors more gen times.
WGLF meanwhile destroys one of the only things killers can do to stop genrush.
I've tried both and I think WGLF is much more powerful, unless we're talking about Nurse or Billy in which case yeah it's probably BBQ.

I saw some of the comments, apart from the dcing/letting go on hook complaints there's a lot that relate to facecamping, tunnelling, slugging for the 4k, moriing off first hook, noed nurse...
"face camped me with iri head because of post nerf DS"
"facecamped a poor survivor then complains about gen rush"
People love to do the things they complain about in this game...

BBQ is mediocre at best. Everyone runs it for the extra bloodpoints. Thrilling is better than bbq on almost every way.

BBQ? Are you even serious? The perk that incentivises the killer to go and chase someone else after HOOKING someone, meaning they have to work for it and that needs the survivors to be farther than 40 metres, not in a locker and not using Distortion(lol)? Get real. BBQ helps both sides and rewards the killer with information after a chase, making them leave the hook for you to rescue your teammate. It is a perk that keeps the game flowing and active at all times after the first hook. If this perk needs a nerf then God forbid what doesn't. What next? They should nerf Thrilling tremors as well because it blocks gens while the killer carries someone? Great plan!

I disagree with you on this but a slight nerf to it does need to be made . For as long as the killer sees your aura the survivor should see the killers aura would make it a little better

So Correct me if I am wrong please but I don't remember being told my aura is read by the killer at the beginning of my time playing. I played quite a bit of survivor this weekend to finish up some rift challenges and a icon appears in the bottom right cornor anytime your aura is red by the killer. This allows you time to adjust and tells you the perk they are using. Icon appears after a hook? that's BBQ, Healing? Nurses, etc. ZSo besides the counters to BBQ there is this new icon that says hey killer knows where you are run or hide. Was this a new hud thing? Or did I just not notice it before? Either way you want a nerf as well with all the counters and being told your aura was read?

Yea location reveal is nothing xD I love how for killers all their perks are mediocre, what do you even consider good? I wonder If bbq additional blood points would be added instead to some weak perk, spoiler alert, it wouldn't be played

Even if it did get nerfed I bet it'd be an uproar. Did a poll where 90 percent said it was balanced. So not enough people to get it nerfed.

That is a good point. If double-bp was on a weaker perk they wouldn't use it, because they would use puddings if they wanted double-bp. It's an excuse because the aura reveal is game changing. If a survivor perk was this powerful it would have already had the nerf hammer, probably multiple times.
Killers still do camp even with BBQ. And that is what is very bad about the perk, they are rewarded for camping (getting more stacks). But my main issue is that it is too strong for a high mobility killer. It's too OP on Freddy.

If BBQ is going to be a Hex Perk then it should be more powerful imo. Every 30 seconds every aura outside of 40m is revealed, and then every aura is revealed on hooking.
3 seconds of aura reveal outside of 40m that is hard countered by locker is not worth the potential hex being cleansed in first 30 seconds of game.

You can't nerf perks because it's stong on one killer. Pop is too strong on freddy to. Oh so is tinkerer, disco, hell I'll tear your arms off using gearhead with fred (ive done it) lets nerf gearhead Oh wait forgot they did. Still stong on fred lets nerf again. Not good argument.

Just sat through all 5 pages of this thread and the only thing that I skipped was OP BBQ is not a issue you can tell if someone is using it then begin the counters or play it safe and assume all killers have it.
Also love the cows can we remove this thread and just dedicate a thread to cow pics pls.

Freddy is my go to killer for messing with random perk builds, because his base kit is strong enough to carry even weak builds.

BBQ is a amazing perk with no needed nerf, it rewards killers for good work, and is perfectly balanced

Why would you need that? You know where the killer is. He's at the hook that your buddy just got hung on. I'm not against it really, just seems pointless.

Why not? Look at balanced landing. It wasn't all that great most of the time, it happened to be a little better on one certain map, killers moaned and about it and the devs took care of it promptly. This kind of balancing should apply to BBQ too if they should be consistent. Too OP on fast killers. Tinkerer is also too strong.

That is not true, killers always complained about balanced landing on Haddonfield. So it was hardly average on most maps but it still got nerfed hard.

That should've been Haddonfield changed not Balanced Landing. And we shouldn't say that perk on this killer makes it OP. If so we gotta nerf Iron Maiden and Stridor.

You sure they weren't complaining about Haddonfield? One of the problems with Haddonfield is that it can be abused for ridiculous infinite loops with Balanced Landing, and even without BL it's ridiculous.

Killers don't camp as much as people pretend, i know this because i also play survivor. If a killer camps with BBQ he'll camp without it, so i you want even more reasons to camping? While we're on the subject, killers play how ever they want to, getting pretty sick of survivor made up rules. I know, i KNOW it can be unfun, but when survivors have huge loops with a toon of safe pallets, they don't run away for the killer to have fun now do they? And they shouldn't, they are playing a game and use what ever strategies that are given to them.
And pushing for a nerf on a perk with so many counters is just ridiculous, and non sense.

It boggles my mind that with all the complaints about tunneling and so forth you'd want to nerf one of the few perks that encourages people to spread out the pain. Especially one who's aura-reading can be effectively counterplayed with minimal foresight and awareness.
