I don't think P3 should give benefits that affect gameplay. I personally think its a bad idea.

There should be a better reward for reaching p3

Yeah yeah I know you get a bloody cosmetic and a better chance to get good stuff of Bloodweb but common... There should be something special for that big grind.
Here are some ideas for that:
3th item or addon slot
5th perk slot (This one is only used for hex perks or the ones that are unlocked from start of the game)
Double offering slot (The second would only be for bloodpoint offerin
+50% bloodpoints for playing this killer or survivor.
I know a few sound to strong but common after so many hours and matches and spending bloodpoints you should get something strong.

Good point. Especially given how much of a pain the grind is in this game. I would love being able to get the blood on more cosmetics. At least that way, it’s just a cosmetic and it isn’t giving you any advantage.

Devs have said months ago that they are thinking about Prestige Rewards. There was no info since then.
However, if they want to bring Rewards for prestiging, you can expect them to be minor. There is no way to give gameplay-advantages for prestiging, there are players out there who played thousands of hours without prestiging (since it is not worth anything when you dont want the cosmetics), they should not need to grind everything again to get advantages other players will get because they prestiged from the start.
I can expect something like a minor BP-Bonus. Or maybe only some Charms which indicate the prestige you have on this Character so that you can show off that you have P3ed the Character without feeling the need to use the bloody Cosmetics.
But something which gives advantages in gameplay (especially stuff like a third Add On Slot (4 Iri Hatchets? 3 Iri Hatchets and better Wind Up? Purple Medkits with not only 60 Charges, but extra Speed as well? And dont get me started on a fifth Perk Slot).
And this is coming from someone who has P3ed every Character with all Survivors and most of the Killers maxed out.

I've noticed that my P3 survivors get way less event items than my non P3 survivors. I'll get maybe 1 or 2 max on my P3 survivors and get 3 or more per bloodweb on my non prestige ones.
I'd say rewards more shards.

Prestige 1: All perks appear on the bloodweb at tier 2.
Prestige 2: All perks appear on the bloodweb at tier 3.
Prestige 3: Unlocks tier 4 for that characters own perks (pink/iridescent) although their appearance on the bloodweb is very rare.
Example of tier 4 perks; only available for Nancy Wheeler:
Fixated: walk 25% faster.
Better Together: see other survivors auras for 12 seconds.
Inner Strength: activates when in a locker for 6 seconds.
Tier 4 perks only available for the Huntress:
Beast of Prey: earn 60% more bloodpoints in Hunter category.
Territorial Imperative: activates every 15 seconds.
Hex: Lullaby: 8% regression for failed skill checks.
etc.
