DS Buff to go with DS Nerf

Since DS is getting nerfed to make sure it's an anti-tunneling only perk. How about balancing the nerf out with a buff that goes in line with making a straight anti-tunneling perk. Let DS give you it's regular ability to stun a killer or also have the option to fully recover from a dying state (Using either deactivates DS for the match). That will keep killers from tunneling you and slugging you.

I think that'll just be a nerf overall. Ppl are already worried that solo queue survivors will essentially afk the for 1 minute to use their DS. Worst case scenario killers just decide to keep slugging anyone that has DS.

Well, like... Others have already pointed out, this is just making it unbreakable, but just better. I'm more partial to the idea of the timer pausing while in chase or slugged.

You don't need a buff to compensate every single time you get a nerf.

Since they're trying to morph it into an anti-tunnel perk, I think it should proc multiple times, and probably not require you to be hooked. If someone's going to tunnel, one measly 5 second stun isn't going to do the job; that's what a second chance perk does. If they have the knowledge that tunneling will make it nigh impossible to hook you, they won't tunnel. Plus; you could just get tunneled for 5 gens and hooked only at the end with NOED. Make it proc based off of the proportion of how long you've been chased compared to other survivors, or a flat accumulative requirement of seconds chased.
Really, this is way too complicated so I think that a dedicated anti-tunnel perk should be added, and DS should maintain its original second chance functionality.

It's supposed to be a nerf, the perk currently serves as a minute of doing whatever you want with no repercussions. It's getting nerfed into being a true anti-tunnel perk. As a true anti-tunnel perk, it should have a longer duration.
And anyone with teammates that won't touch anything to maximise their DS duration was going to lose anyway, that's just how solo que works. Players that play like that don't magically get better because of DS, they just get more obnoxious for the killer.

Players shouldn't even have to use a perk to stop them from being camped/tunneled. A perk shouldn't be required for you to avoid being forcefully ejected from the game.
I say change DS entirely and make it basekit. Then give killers 30 seconds of prep time before a match starts and make killer instinct go off on the unhooker each time someone gets unhooked.

Survivor perks usually get buffed on another side, whenever they get "nerfed". Just look at the previous DS "nerfs" or when BT was "nerfed".
