Change to deep wound

When a survivor is afflicted by deep wound, performing any channeling action will speed up the bleed out timer at twice its normal speed. It just feels like deep wound is so non-impactful (except for maybe legion). They can also not use any items.

i.e channeling actions being healing, opening an exit gate, etc.

Thoughts?

Maybe but this won’t make it any less scary. If I know I have the time I’m doing it either way

Imo, there is no fixing Deep Wound. Currently, it's hilariously weak but if you buff it, it becomes OP

The fact that survivors can still clutch a heal or generator while being in deep wound is weird because they are supposed to be at their most vulnerable is a bit weird and cheeky. So for example as Legion, I hit someone with it and hit another survivor but the first survivor still finishes the generator he was on. It would semi-buff legion and encourage survivors to stop what they are doing or be punished, but without being too strong.

That is why I wanted to be very careful with it, do you really think it would be too strong this way? It would punish survivors for trying to greed while in deep wound which most do because they have all the time in the world to mend. With this, the most time they could spend doing a generator for example would be about 9 seconds before the deep wound meter runs out.

No, I don't think this does enough but if you do anything else, it becomes too good.

I like the idea of increasing the bleed out speed if you're moving. So if you're walking while -not in a chase- it drains at 2x speed, and sprinting it drains at 3x speed. So 20 seconds becomes 10 seconds and 6 seconds respectively. What this should do is make it so you don't have a lot of travel time while deep wounded so you can't get to objectives as easily, and when you do get to objectives your timer is much shorter than normal.

I think this would balance good because you can still get things done but you can't abuse it as much as it puts more priority on healing.

This could also be explained because if you have a deeply bleeding wound moving around and running increases your heart rate which increases the bleeding

Make survivors be Deafened like Hags addon while afflicted with Deep Wounds. Now it's actually more scary and can allow for some mind games.

So basically old deep wound mechanic. No ducking thanks keep that the ######### out of the game. I’m sorry but this is such a bad idea

    Madness tier 3, no thanks

When snapping out of t3 madness they won’t be able to hear the skill checks. They just fixed the bug with lullaby which did that as well.

Seems fine to me. Doctor isn't really oppressive anyway.

I bit late to the party. I bought legion a while ago and have been enjoying him. I just chased a survivor around the map who had the Deep Wound status thinking that he will bleed out soon. Because it's called a -deep- wound. If you run while you're bleeding, you bleed out. So he lasted forever and I finally went and read that the bleed out timer PAUSES while a survivor is running. Thematically, that's so dumb.

Apparently it USED to work as a bleed out effect, but that was too strong. Okay... what if it created some of the other effects of bleeding out then? Your ears start to ring, you start to get tunnel vision. You start to slow down. Is there a way that you can simulate feelings of shock in the game? I just feel at the moment when I run up as Legion and stab what is meant to be a cruel fly by arterial stab where you leave them bleeding to death (as is the killer's theme, right?) it's sort of more like running up and putting an annoying sticker on their back and they have to pick it off.

I think what still makes a killer fun is the thematic immersion. When I play the plague I feel like I'm this disgusting, infectious virus. Good ol trapper still feels like a murderous mastermind tricking people into dashing through a bear trap. It's living that creepy horror movie theme that makes it fun. Legion is meant to be feel like a messed up delinquent that would jump out of an alley, cut you deep and then let you run in terror while you bleed out. Chasing a survivor who apparently has a clotting agent Wolverine would be jealous of makes me feel lame and it makes sense that you don't see the killer very often...

I'd be good with it doing that as long as it doesn't effect Snapping Out. If it did/does, Survivors would just go down for free if they're in Tier 3 madness with Deep Wound.

I mean, if they have deep wound in t3 madness they should probably be down in the first place.

    Endurance is a #########...

Ohhh how about this idea. How about if legion sticks a knife in your back. As long as the knife in your back you are broken. If you try to pull it out on your own you scream revealing your position. But if you find a teammate they can remove it for you quietly.
