Community thoughts on dbd balance when trickster is live
I know normal people say dbd is unbalanced, but I believe this update will make the game pretty balanced other than a few things like freddy or haddonfield. Or the games pallets
And I just what to hear do you agree that dbd will be mostly balanced as of 4.6.0 not completely or including qol changes

He's pretty horrific even without using his second part of the power, I suppose it'll be toggleable on live and he'll be extremely difficult to deal with.
No buffs really needed.

Why would the game be more balanced on Trickster release?
DS change is pretty much the only thing balance wise changing and that's like 5% of the problems currently effecting balance.
Balance is basically the exact same before and after Trickster release.

Rank reset hasn't been like that for ages now. You only go back one rank colour so for example: red-purple, purple-green, green-yellow and yellow-grey :)

If they're making mmr live and giving rank reset rewards like they posted a little while back then yes it'd go back to 20 not just one color. As of now though they haven't announced when mmr and reset rewards are being implemented.

I thought the whole reason why they removed the whole going back to rank 20 was because of genuine new players going against people who are normally in red ranks making it impossible for them to actually win pretty much.
If that does happen then by all means let it happen but I feel like it's really gonna hurt new players, I mean my friends who have just gotten into the game keep telling me they sometimes go against green rank killers while their only rank 18. I don't think they need red rank players at rank 20 stomping on them as well...

If/When they do that, Rank won't be a factor in Match Making anymore. Instead it'll be based off of people's hidden MMR. So yeah... that Rank 1 killer just went to rank 20, but they'll still be facing decent/good survivors and not new players.

It's the most balanced it has ever been.
Not that it actually means anything though, this game's balance is a trainwreck. Just look at marth or tournament level play. A bunch of 2Ks with killers who camp with NOED because playing normally isn't actually possible at a high level.

I still dont get why people act like Freddy is completely busted. Because of stats? The top percentage of players at this game, the sweatlords who go around from tournament to tournament all have Nurse as their number 1 pick. Perhaps there’s a case to be made for Freddy being too easy for his strength like Hillbilly was but he’s not actually overpowered. He’s not even a top 3 killer. In fact Freddy stands as a good example of general play vs high level play. He dominates public games yet barely gets a look-in in competitive play.
For me the balance is still survivor sided based on the early game, map design, and how swf can stack so much along with voice chat. I’d say map design is the number 1 issue.

Yeah, seems unlikely they'd implement the rewards and not mention it at least a couple days before but there is always a small possibility they'll announce it today. My money is on April 13 or in May for the midchapter.

Map design is a problem, you're right. Problem is, BVHR either doesn't believe in or is incapable of designing maps that are reasonable for both sides more often than not. Look at their recent reworks/new maps and tell me how those turned out. Honestly, I'm thinking they're just hoping they 'get lucky' on whatever garbage they slap together and pray it all works out to be roughly even for killer and survivor.
