PETITION TO REWORK BREAKABLE WALLS. NO TO BREAKABLE WALLS

Hi as everyone feels, I'm pretty sure that Breakable walls as they are currently implemented is just there to annoy both Killers and Survivors.

When they were announced last year with Deathslinger, We all thought that it was gonna be like Michael going through the glass door in that one scene from Halloween 2 or just like the Kool Aid man commercial making survivors sh*t themselves in fear but NO since the Silent Hill chapter breakable walls became something annoying like creating God Loops on remade maps or creating Deadzones /Death rooms like in the remade Game map.

Thus I hereby made a petition that hope fellow Survivors and Killers can take a part of a better Dead by Daylight :D (PS: I'm even okay with Outright removing them with how vexing they are in trials)

I agree, I made a discussion about this topic 2 weeks ago and I feel they have have no idea how to implement them properly, it feels like they are forced to put them on maps without any logic behind that.

That's a hard no from me , I really like the concept and the way dead dawg looks with the walls but I feel like the ones on crotus prenn need to go , they should just graphically update the old maps and put breakable walls in new coming maps where it would fit the feel of the map I don't think they should scrap the walls but they should be more particular about when they use them and if it fits the realm

The problem is you have, as a killer, to spend two minutes to break walls at the beginning of the match, or you'll lose your first two chases because of breakable walls. That is not a good game design imo. It's not broken (wow so funny), it's not OP, or underrated/overrated, it's just a bad design.

I was thinking of an item, sort of like a breach charge that can break breakable walls as survivor whilst consuming the item. Breaking certain walls should favor survivor too though in a way like letting you open a path that lets you get a fast vault at a window which otherwise would just be a medium vault if you take the other open path.

I partially disagree insofar as there is definitely a logic to them. Several breakable walls are very clearly being used to reintroduce specific god windows and infinites that have been known about for some time. The breakable walls simply give them an excuse not to remove an extremely strong loop because "now you can break it". Forget that this still ignores some of those loops being insanely strong, and technically just removes them being "infinite" and instead makes them more like "It'll only take 99 loops instead of 10000."

It honestly seems like breakable walls were simply introduced as a way to let them keep making infinites, but slap a band-aid on them instead of fully fixing them. This is a double slap in the face because some of these infinites were outright REMOVED from the game before breakable walls were introduced, but they've been added back into the game. A problem that was FIXED was REINTRODUCED INTENTIONALLY to make use of a BAND-AID mechanic. That is completely backwards of how these sorts of issues should be addressed. My ONLY guess there is that SOMEONE on the dev team REALLY likes those loops and wanted to keep them, and looked for a way to make SOMETHING that would allow them to be reintroduced while still giving the devs the ability to say "Oh, you totally have a counter you can use, even if it's inferior".

I agree they need to go, or at least be limited to no more than 2 in a single building and no more than 3 per map

Not everyone feels this way. Some of the walls I like having them both as a killer and as a survivor. Notably some of those in the Grave of Glenvale.

But I mean their implementation in the new maps, they serve as solid wall, which won't be destroyed ever by smart killers, because there's no reason to.
