The NEW OoO Meta?
(My statement is the current OoO Redesign)
This perk now that I read it could seriously be a new meta. Think about it, it doesn't mention stealth killers. If it's a wraith with the All Seeing add-on or even better the plague with the Black Incense.
I really hope this is the new design, it seems so powerful. Imagine, any sort of perk or killer add-on that can see your aura, will be revealed to you. I'll list every killer aura perk and Add-on.
Killer perks
- A Nurse's Calling - A+
- Barbeque & Chilli - S
- Bitter Murmur - B+
- Blood Warden - A
- Deerstalker - C+
- Hangman's Trick - C
- Hex: Retribution - B+
- Hex: Undying - A
- I'm all Ears - A+
- Nemesis - C+
Killer add-ons
- The Hag - Willow Add-ons
- The Doctor - Restraint Add-Ons
- The Shapes - Fragment, Shard and Mirror Add-ons
- The huntress - Glowing Concoction
- The Pig - Amanda's Secret and Letter
- The Demogorgon - Leprose Lichen
- The Trickster - Diamond cufflinks
- The Clown - Tattoo's Middle Finger
- The Deathslinger - Hellshire Iron
- The Wraith - All Seeing ~ Blood
- The Oni - Renjiro's Bloody Glove
- The Plague - Black Incense
(Probably more but Idk them)

It wouldn't break through undetectable, so not really.

It doesn't say that in the description

Neither does current OoO, but it doesn't affect Undetectable Killers.

Aragorn didn't wear pants.

I'm very confident that new object will be a strong survivor perk and could potentially be meta but the current object is just frustrating. I'd take the new one over what we currently have. The only issue I have is passive aura reading every 30s. If it happens mid chase, it might be frustrating.

It won't pick up undetectable targets. Same as current Object.

Wonder if itll still light up. Current object when ya look at undetectable it lights up you just don't see the aura. Thatll make it interesting vs nurses calling since a lot of ghostfaces and sometimes michaels smack you then come back with nurses.

Might as well just use spine chill for that.

Yeah in that scenario i guess unless the killer counterplays the spinechill. Honestly itd have its advantages over spinechill if it lit up and revealed the killers aura when they see yours. As theres many aura reading perks and addons. So like if your facing a michael and OoO is always lit up its probably scratched mirror. It lighting up everytime you throw up with plague? Black incense. in some ways it could beat out spinechill or just be a amazing perk to side with it as if it lit up whenever your auras revealed that gives you so much more info, spinechill warns you if the killers coming which killers can just counter by looking up,down, or moonwalking. New object warns you what the killer has and they can't do anything about it. Another thing say the killer hooks someone and it lights up for 4 seconds bbq known instantly. Go near a totem and see it lights up? Get that undying out of here. (Even though undying already tells you now i think?) Wouldn't have to see the killer to get immense value from it. Current object lights up whenever you look in the killers direction so if they go the same route with new object (it lights up no matter if the killers aura is revealed) then that makes it amazingly powerful.

Think about it, it doesn't mention stealth killers.
That's because it doesn't have to. The rules of Undetectable mean that you cannot read the Killer's aura.

I just said to use spine chill if you prefer just to counter stealth killers (undetectable) who are using auras.
Either way, new OoO is a much better pekr (health wise) and will surely see much, much more use in solo queues.

Don't most killers predict spinechill now and just moonwalk or look to the side? New OoO would have the advantage then lighting up since nurses sees you.

Only if they see you run off without any warning as they approach. (No TR or other sound cues). Otherwise they just approach as always, some do it even if Spine chill is suspected or they don't care.
No, SC is actively being countered as often as you may think, at least at red ranks.
Also, a simple blink from SC when versing a stealth killer may be enough to warrant more attention and be wary. Countering it is more of a hussle than it is worth it.
Edit:
Whispers is kind of a counter to heavily immersed spine chill players. Even if they leg it silently, they are now probably in a much worse spot than before.

If this becomes meta it will kill the game. They need to give this perk the MoM treatment and nerf it until it’s useless.

Thanks for the quote. Storing that one away into the vault.

Ah mk i was just thinking as even if they suspect spinechill say stuff like nurses or pig and wraiths aura reveal addons reveal the survivor even if you don't look right at them. So new OoO would warn you the killers in the area even if say they arent looking directly at you.

It's a game mechanic : you CAN'T see the killer's aura if he's undetectable, no matter what.

it makes many aura reading perks backfire, but itll cuck you if youre the last survivor left

Against BBQ it is not that good, because you know exactly where the killer is at the time of hooking. So I would not put it S. Maybe B+.

MoM - B teir

You do have a point but the perk did get a rework after all. They might of changed that, maybe now the killers aura will show, however now that I think about it, it's very unlikely but not impossible.

You do have a point, just like dead hard though.

You know something I have just realised
Current Object
The perk is meta for a swf
New Object
The perk is meta for a solo
Conclusion
- The developers buffed solo
- Nerfed swf
- Really fun sounding perk

But at that point, it's just a budget Spine Chill.

a nice buff id add to it is the ability to see the killer for 5 seconds at the start of the trial (and he doesnt see yours). that way youll know which killer it is and be prepared and youll know if hes going towards your direction. that small change would make it one of my favorite perks

Spine Chill does actually. It tells you when they are looking at you within 32 (?) meters.
OoO tells you they are...somewhere in that direction.
