When will mouse macros finally be dealt with? Oni/Blight mains are cheating
Comments
-
Sadly, never. There are also monitors out there that provide crosshairs for Players; this makes throwers and shooters dead shots. There are also, as we all know, people who play with their resolution so they can see over and around terrain. There are people who play with the brightness and hue so they can make trying to hide nearly impossible. The reason none of these things will ever be addressed is because there is no way for the DEV to detect them, period.
The only people who know about them are the ones doing it, the sad, pathetic little worms who apparently have no self-respect. They know they only manage by giving themselves a competitive edge, but simply don't care. They look themselves in the mirror and it doesn't trouble them at all that they are actually inferior to the people they play against, and they prove it to themselves every day by cheating.
What you and I have to do is simply accept that they are out there, shrug, and go on with our lives. Take some solace in the fact that losers like that really aren't very good and you probably beat some of them every day. That must be particularly galling for them, to lose even with all the cheats they provide themselves. I smile when I think about that.

Soo... just to be clear... this might not be macros... For example I can almost entirely spin around as oni but I also play at 4600 DPI... Its not a macro, its just I am used to very high DPI. Oni actually causes me issues because sometimes I over turn way to much and do a 90 when I just meant to turn a little.
To be clear. I don't play only oni at 4600 I play every killer at that DPI. My ingame DPI is 4600 and my outta game DPI is 4000.
5 -
i'm a console player, what does that do?
0 -
What is this for an argument ?
Discord doesn't affect the survivors' movements, skill check, flashlight saves and stuff. Also, on Xbox and PS4/PS5 there is party chat directly on the system.
Using a software or a macro that directly affect the movement of a player that he/she should not be able to perform in normal circonstances (without the macro), it's cheating.
5 -
Doesn't affect movement but give a ton of information that survivors wouldn't have otherwise. So it's okay for killers to use wallhacks? It's just extra information, nothing that change the movement whatsoever
7 -
So wait what exactly can the Oni do now with this macro because I already hate going against him, but how would you know if they are using this?
0 -
Killers have enough aura perks man lol...
And the kill rate is 75% so what's your problem ?
0 -
Why is it if the survivors do something unintended or use an oversight and bad mechanics it's always skill? getting fast vaults at vaults that are designed to be medium, it's always "skill", healing in exit gates an oversight in bad mechanics was called "skill" here too. If killers do anything like the legion tech or this its an exploit and people actually call for bans. It's that survivor entitlement again.
It can be done at certain jungle gym tiles and i dont know if cow tree still has it but it used to be able to be done there as well. They put a wall in front because its designed and intended to only be fast vaulted from one direction.
2 -
Survivors have aura reading perks as well, but they don't need to use them cause comms provide that info for free.
And what kill rate has to do with anything? The sheer amount of survivors that kill themselves on first hook or DC after downed is enough to ignore the stats. But if you want to use kill rates to justify anything, do you think nurse should be buffed?
6 -
It isn't third party XD You can literally change your poll speed of a normal mouse on your computer XD Gaming mouses have always had a polling change rate to help you become more accurate with games like COD and Rainbow Six. You can't BAN gaming mouses. Besides, I've been enjoying the Oni and Blights. We still mainly 3 escape against them. It's just an added bonus of not having a ton of Spirits or Nurses. I can't even fathom how you think they would or even should take away polling speeds on killers XD They even added artificial polling speed for controllers for consoles XD You gonna take that away from console too?
3 -
Yes, I do.
5 -
@OniWantsYourMacaroni They added turning speed sensitivity to controllers. You can do it in the in-game settings up to 100% and 360 spin in a millisecond so that's not true.
2 -
I agree. I don't think killers should be able to spin at 200mph to get hits, but at the same time why are survivors allowed to spin at 200mph to avoid hits? it's the same damn thing. More importantly it's one of the frustrating mechanics which keeps new players out of the game, and right now these game kind of needs to do all it can to keep new killers. But no killer retention is put aside so swf bully squads can have their fun.
9 -
I always play at 100% sensitivity and i'm still only able to turn 30 to 45 degrees when lethal rushing while PC Blight players are able to turn like up to 270 degrees.
I recommend reading an amazing thread by @Bloodshade who highlights the problems and limitations of console Blight very well
4 -
From what i've heard PC Oni players are able to flick their demon strike more than the intended 90 degrees if they use very high sensitivity or something like that
0 -
@OniWantsYourMacaroni I played on PS4 and you can definitely do it still. It's not super easy but nor is it the same on PC. It's why its called a, "Tech". Sorry if the way I said it sounded harsh. I like you and I honestly didn't mean it to sound bad if it did. I've been going against a lot of them lately and I've been having a blast. I've only really lost against 2 Oni's doing the "tech" but if you keep running and try to use T-walls efficiently, you can still beat them. If you're in the open, you're probably dead either way. The flick on affects sharp turns but you already have to be pre-turning before you get there.
The flick just makes it easier to coast around the sharp corner like old Billy. It's not that big of a deal, honestly. They could just add more artificial turning to Console but honestly, at 100%, I was getting noxious on Console. Hell, my polling rate on PC is only 1400 out of 10,000 and that's not super fast. I would rather them buff console polling rate again than try to cap the polling rate in-game artificially. No one wants to be limited by artificial barriers in a game.

lol, same for a bunch of killer that dont do the oni/blight mess, and have to deal with survivors bs, how fair is that ?
1 -
It should be obvious, but. Unlike killers, survivors have no powers / no abilities (not counting perks) so they have little to work with, even then, their techs have counter play.
So what if they can pull a fast vault like that? Congrats to them. Do you have any idea how hard it is to pull some fast vaults in this game? Some of them require frame perfect movement and button pressing... I'm impressed when I see it as killer and will instantly mark that survivor as "experienced" and will know better what to expect from him in future encounters.
How is healing in exit gates, "an oversight in bad mechanics" ? Who called it skill? Where are you getting these claims from? After you, what's an oversight ?
-------------------
When you have a killer like Blight whose main counter play is designed to stay behind objects then someone comes with an exploit that makes him flick INSTANTLY to 180* and to even 270* you think that's fair? Killers are designed to be strong and kill survivors. What's a survivor supposed to do in that situation? Unless he knows it's coming & has experience about it he will get hit. Not forgetting to mention how forgiving blight's lunge is, since it doesn't connect with surfaces & will continue to slide off until it makes contact with a survivor.
I know it's scuffed as hell but I honestly don't feel like making a better one cause i'm tired as hell and been awake for 30+ hours.
The Green line is a 90* turn. McLean said it himself this is intended.
The Yellow line, means it's a 180* turn. Something that should NOT be possible against blight. This removes the biggest counter play to him. Would you like if you got hit like this ? Does this turn look natural to you? Not even Oni can do stuff like this. Unlike Oni, blight's 180* lunge is instant, has no curve, is 5x more forgiving & the lunge range is 3x further... Oni has 1 shot potential, Blight doesn't. However, a hit is a hit.
Not mentioning that Oni also has to earn his power.
I can give you my Post about Blight and his J-flick "tech" that people call it and have a gander. It's got around 2k views and a few hundred comments.
--------------
No sure how to feel about the Legion tech. I've pulled it off myself a couple of times but never against me as survivor. There were attempts.
Cow tree is no longer possible to fast vault if you're looping around it from that side, no matter how wide you take the angle.
What else is considered bad mechanics on the survivor side? Since you mentioned it yourself. Perhaps you can enlighten me as well & maybe i'll agree with you on some points.
One thing I agree with you on is the spinning part. Some survivors can literally teleport behind me and it's aggravating when I'm trying to play something like Billy only to rev my chainsaw and the survivor teleports behind me. HOWEVER, I can't deny the fact that there is some skill behind this and trying to spin around me when i'm revving their chainsaw behind them as Billy is the right move, even though I hate it. I just wish latency would not have a hand in this. It's one of the reasons I use Shadowborn on Billy.
From your comments, you are definitely a killer main, no offense to that, i just wanted to point it out, and you absolutely despise survivors and getting outplayed so you try to remove any tech they have to a point where all they can do is loop and drop pallets... Survivors act as one entity, I feel like more techs have been removed from survivors than per individual killer.
Aren't you the same guy who complained about second chance perks then uses IRI head himself? Do you know what a hypocrite is? Not mentioning your claim that Blight is weak. Come off it...
Also I would like to ask you. Where do you draw the line between an exploit and a tech?
5 -
Again
isn't the whole thing about Blight's charge that it's hard for him to turn
2 -
There are "medium vault only" windows?
Adjusting your brightness, contrast etc is cheating?
If stretched res was actually "literally cheating" then those using it would be literally banned yet nobody has been and every day there are more streamers and YouTubers using 1:1 but for the most part nobody takes them seriously because ewww.
YouTube blight + trick + Otz +Lytriz and check out the video that came out yesterday.
0 -
body is 1 character too short
4 -
Its an unintended mechanic, as confirmed by McLean. Taking advantage of an unintended mechanic for an advantage is literally the definition of an exploit. That being said, its probably not a big enough of a deal for them to fix it and I don't care if people do it but man I wish people would shut up about it.
9 -
to be fair 90 degrees is not enough and should be at max 120 degrees. If it is locked at 90 then the counterplay just becomes squash against the wall and he can't do anything on many of the rocks and junk loops.
0 -
Yall are talking about macro this macro that but all you need to flick as Oni is a pulse and a mousepad.
It's really not that hard to do a 180 or even a 270 with normal in-game sensitivity.
5 -
Thats absurd and a fallacious argument. You are implying an afirmation that is not in the original post, nowhere he says that "an exploit is only an exploit when it can be done in one platform only henceforth if can be done in all platforms is not an exploit", you just pulled that out of nowhere.
1 -
You can simply back up. I can't believe you're bitching about something so easy to avoid.
3 -
Laughs in DPI button I always forget I have.
3 -
It still makes no sense how survivors nose dive like a fighter jet. If they were so bad survivors wouldn't have cried and campaigned for them back in but while we're at it just use a pallet against blight or oni 4head
4 -
And how does one flick with a controller on console?
2 -
People weren't complaining about the movement being changed just because of 360's.
0 -
And the stats say Nurse is the worst killer in the game. Don't use stats in DBD because they are useless.
10 -
You know what, I'm fine with Blight/Oni flicking like they do, what I'm not fine with is getting hit when I'm behind the killer by five meters. Maybe the player has to use outside software to achieve the flick, maybe it's a matter of sensitivity--if the developers say they won't touch it, then they won't and I doubt there's much that people can do about it.
Worthless piece said, back to sleeping with me, I suppose.0 -
And who says every single Oni main is abusing macros?
1 -
Its not a MACRO to do the flick. It's poll rate increase.
0 -
These blight cheaters are virtually impossible to dodge, you obviously haven't played against one
6 -
At 100% console sensitivity is still complete crap. Go try it.
2 -
Trust me, I definitely have. Same thing with Oni, and it is possible to dodge.
3 -
ive seen 1080 x 1080 and is crazy, how much is this? because doesnt look that bad (quality picture talking 1600x900? even lower?)
0 -
Agreed. Something has to be done. Link them some vidsnso they can see the Japanese flick. I refuse to do it and become dependent incase they fix it
1 -
Oh no the twitter 3 heads who think j flicking is cheating are on the forums now.
They both have counterplay, so I don't care about it. It does nothing but increase the skillcap of versing and playing blight and oni, which is almost never a bad thing, and it most certainly isn't a bad thing in this situation.
7 -
Very high dpi not sensitivity. There's a difference
0 -
Consoles really be thinking you can just use a macro to flick your mouse perfectly everytime.
Don't try to talk about stuff you know nothing about.
1 -
I'd be worried if they did change this, last time it made console versions horrible to play.
Side note I find side stepping/360 killers ridiculous counterplay on par with running forward until downed
0 -
Spoken like someone who loves to abuse a mechanic and doesn't want anyone taking away their fun. It by passes the intended design of the killer. Therefore it is abusing a game mechanic which is a reportable offense. Thats in a nutshell what cheating is.
6 -
Jflicks aren't the answer to every loop, all this does is let blight be able to use his power at more annoying loops. It's not a end all be all solution and you can easily over or under flick and miss a hit.
Idk how people can get mad at blight and oni for doing this, but be ok with nurse doing exactly the same thing if not even stronger.
0 -
Because it's not intended. End of story.
2 -
if anything insta hit macro hag is a problem
3 -
Nurse doesn't have an in built limit to turning.
1 -
Angles Pilot, angles. Should be impossible but it isn't. I'm not complaining, I do it myself.
0 -
Yall need to stop whining
