saboteur

i think saboteur reveals a problem with 3 perks. obviously saboteur. but also, self-care and streetwise. i think the designers need to modify these perks for clarity and consistency.

i think the first is street wise. for consistency, it needs to 50% your item alone. and it needs to 100% your item, in combination with the others. self care is 20% efficiency boost, which should change to 50%. saboteur doesn't boost efficiency at all. but it should also be 50% item efficiency, like self-care.

next is self-care. like i said. make it 50% item efficiency, to pair with streetwise for the double. or to leave single at 50% alone. but another change is the wording. 50% of what normal healing rate? it should be worded 50% of a bronze med kit, or a gold med kit, etc. personally, i think it should be 50% of the bronze kit. but i could understand 50% of green or gold.

finally, saboteur. again, like i said. 50% item efficiency. but it then i notice it has the weirdest design. it reminds me of combover. like when a balding man combs his hair over to make up for the clear bald spot. the nerfed it, which is fine. but they did a terrible job at it. and that's because self-care and streetwise aren't designed properly to model it's nerf. look, forget the 60 second cooldown. forget the 2.5 speed. 50% item efficiency. 50% speed of bronze toolbox, or 50% speed of alex's/gold toolbox. the limit is you're a sitting duck in front of a hook, for a killer who might have mad grit and/or forced penance. the limit is the life of your item. the limit is 50% speed of a low tier toolbox.

    1) no

    2) the perks are not related

    3) how much fast than 2.5s do you want? Insta break? Is that your aim?

    Agreed.

Another typical “I don’t want my opponent to stand a chance” suggestion.

    i don't think you're understanding me.

    1) maybe i overcomplicated it. the point is clarity, after all. uniform the perks. self care and sabo work 50% bronze speed alone, or 50% efficiency boost to items. streetwise boosts item efficiency 50%. together they double an item efficiency play. alone, they half double efficiency or provide stand alone use at limited speed. 20% item efficiency, no item efficiency, 60 second cool down, 2.5 speed, 25% efficiency are inconsistent features.

    2) the perks are clearly 3 of a kind in a loadout. you don't wanna call them related, that's fine. i won't split that hair. the point is they are similar and should work in a similar fashion.

    3) i don't know want to increase or decrease 2.5 second sabo or 50% of normal healing rate. i want to standardize the stand alone rate of self-care and sabo to half bronze item speed. standardize all three perks to 50% item efficiency boost. and eliminate the ugly inconsistent features of the perks, as they currently are.

i realize it's sort of a significant boost to sabo. but i think half speed of bronze toolbox is a fair enough limitation to the perk. if i have any bias, it's against the 60 second cooldown. they should just slow down the sabo speed and while they're at it uniform the perks across the board.
