Playing against Ruin in solo queue.
Usually i'm biased for killer in this game, but holy ######### is playing against Ruin in solo queue so boring, especially if it's paired with something like Tinkerer, good job ever getting a generator complete solo.
When you or your teammates are unable to find Ruin or don't find it for a long time, it's such a pain in the ass to play against and literally just makes me not want to repair gens at all.
Might just have to start chucking on Detective's Hunch so I can see most of the totems after the first gen gets complete.
Just needed to rant a little because it's been something on my mind lately and I just had a game against a Blight with Ruin + Tinkerer and looped him for like 4 minutes straight, and still only 2 gens were complete like 8-9 minutes into the game.

I do wish that people would remember that Undying was nerfed and its now perfectly feasable to cleanse 2 totems.
Seriously, cleanse ruin. Look for it. Do the glow bones. It's not unreasonable now that we don't have to cleanse a potential 5 totems while notifying the killer.
Edit: This being directed at fellow solo's.

yeah old ruin was much more bearable. At least you made some progress with old Ruin, in fact you made a fair amount if you could hit the skillchecks. Nothing sucks more than spending a minute on a generator just to get chased away and lose all that progress and realize you have to start it all over again. It's one of the things that really ruined solo survivor for me (along with matchmaking).

Ruin has no effect on you (gen progression) unless your the one being run off a gen and then just a standard chase solo or not

- If you're running a killer for 4 minutes straight and only 2 gens get done, thats more so a fault on your fellow teammates.
- If you're running a killer for 4 minutes straight, that still leaves 3 teammates who could split up. 2 work on gen, 1 goes hunting for the hex.
- Ruin isn't overly difficult to find on MOST maps. Most people at high ranks know the spawns and should check them.
I solo que entirely and yes, sometimes its left up way too long. But thats also a fault on the survivors/myself because we'd rather focus on gens and think we'll likely come across it anyways traversing the map. I mean with 4 of us running around, one of us is bound to see it right? It can happen where none of us see it but I'd say thats pretty rare. If I do my 1st gen at the start of the game and I let up on repairing for a second and the hex activates, I know to go hunting for it.
I'd be blaming your teammates more than the hex. Seems they weren't very efficient in that situation you described.

It makes esacping more diffcult but I won't call it boring. In fact it gives more challange. I recently played solo survivor a lot and I won't call it boring

GOOD, run something other than Decisive Strike/Unbreakable/Iron Will/Exhaustion Perk or BT.

I usually only run one or two meta perks, those being BT and/or Iron Will. Besides that I sometimes run Spine Chill and/or Resilience, or Prove Thyself, Windows or Kindred.

That's not the Ruins fault to be honest, but its Solo Queues. This is a similar case with Pop, as long as the killer has one of these perks, and maybe Tinkerer, unless multiple people are working on gens literally no gen will get done. The way you play around it is splitting on gens and doing multiple at once, there is no killer who has the power to stop 3 simultaneous Tinkerer procs but 1 Tinkerer proc at a time is very easy. But as we all know, the ability to hold left mouse button is a seldomly found skill in Solo Queue players.
