Can "for the people" be used as a healthier replacement anti tunnel perk?
For the people is a very underrated perk IMO. The perk allows you to immediately take pressure off of a certain survivor and encourages the killer to switch targets.
It is actually an incredibly powerful perk and comes pretty close to being meta, the only reason it is not a meta perk is because of the drawback. The drawback being that you stay broken for 90 seconds.
It is still a good perk regardless.

I'm glad the perk exists as it's an interesting option... but in solo play, For The People is a great way to make sure you have very fast losses as a Survivor. Getting next to someone being tunneled, injuring yourself and applying Broken to yourself for 90 seconds is a great way to become the new tunnel victim.
It also doesn't do much in a true tunneling situation, as the killer won't let up on your target long enough to even stand still for the 1 second you need to use it.

If they buffed off the record to include blood trails and scratch marks it'd be a better anti tunnel perk and let you escape easier but I doubt they would do that.

You can't rely on others in solo q. They even run away after farming you in healthy state.

Hardcore tunnelers are few and far in between though. Obviously, it will suck in comparison to DS, but FTP helps your team live longer which helps you live longer. I would recommend running it if you are good at looping.

It is a great perk and puts an obsession in the game as well.
I like to run in from time to time. But more when I SWF than solo.

Oh sure! Let me trade a health state with another survivor.. as long as I'm healthy.. and suffer a freakin' minute and a half+ self-inflicted broken status.

(snatched from Reddit) Although FTP would be more anti-slugging than tunneling.

As I said, it can keep your team alive faster. The point is to take pressure off of your teammates.

Answering the question, I don't think so. For me, anti-tunnel are effects that you provide to yourself DS is the prime example.
For the People is more akin to BT, both are altruistic perks with strong effects. Furthermore, FTP requires some degree of coordination to be effective.

Well, as others suggested, hard to communicate with a frantic survivor that you could give them a health state if only they would stop for just one second.
It be nice if you could also trigger FTP if you were within 5m of an injured survivor for x amt of seconds. That way you could chase an injured survivor and trigger the perk.
Anyway, I’ve stopped playing killer and exclusively playing survivor this week and FTP is a big reason why. I think it’s a fun perk.

People in here will tell you it's a good perk cause 99% of them are killer mains. Ofc they want you to run perks like that 😂

Best antitunnel perks now to replace ds are prove thyself and resilience. Killers want faster games, they can have them. In fact count how many times you see any of these perks and ds now, and you’ll see it

It is a good perk. It is strong because you can save someone on death hook, it discourages the killer from pursuing that survivor and if they still do, it will take a while giving the rest of the team more time to finish generators.
It is also very powerful in a slugging situation. If the killer decides to slug a survivor to go down another one, you can quickly run to the downed survivor and use FTP on them. It encourages very altruistic teamplay and can save people in really bad situations.

I don't get it. DS is now a *perfectly balanced* and purely anti tunnel perk...but now it's not good enough anymore.
I'm starting to think being tunneled isn't why people used it. Considering all of it's anti tunnel functionality is 100% intact.

Survivors used it because of the protection it gave, not solely for tunneling. I think they used tunneling as an excuse for bringing it.

It might be good if you play SWF but in solo? LOL
And if you play SWF you probably still gonna have someone run DS to have a obsession rather than this perk.

Solo is bad, but not impossible. You can still use it on a slugged survivor. It is a good perk, just because solo queue can be pretty bad does not mean the perk is. In a SWF obviously, it would be strong due to those survivors being more able to communicate.
In solo queue, you can still use it to your advantage. I don't see how taking pressure off of your team is a bad thing.

It's such a situational perk. In any time when the killer is close by the slug, it's useless because he can just swing and one of you is downed again. If he's far away, might as well just heal normally. It's only in that tiny window between approaching you and approaching you too quickly that you find use for it.

The issue is it's just not that good.
If your in a stack F2P Into Blood Pact can be fun but it's not strong really.

Some of the team mates I get in solo queue no than an :D
