so can we now have an obsession by default pls?

The DS adjustment was needed and exactly what "the community" suggested a while ago, so happy about that.

what im not happy about is that because its a nerf, it seems a decent amount of players instandly dont want to give it a second glance anymore, its a nerf so clearly its bad.

I said this before, if they made Spirit 0.000001% slower, suddenly "OMG THEY NERFED SPIRIT, SHE IS COMPLETELY USELESS NOW, THEY KILLED SPIRIT, THE DEVS KILLED THEIR BEST KILLER HERES HOW SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE" etc etc etc


BUUUUT a bit of an issue with nobody running it anymore is that there often is no obsession and that means free tunneling for the killer because they also can see there is no obsession.


So something that SHOULD have accompanied this welcomed nerf is that there always is an obsession, no matter if there are any obsession perks are being used, this would be more interesting because of points etc (obsession escaped) AND it would keep all sides guessing as to what perks are in play which is a large part of this game.

    Just bring an Obsession perk if you want an Obsession. This would be like killers wanting lit totems without bringing Hex perks.

    Not really, it works both ways, if there is no obsession the survivors also know stuff like Ranchor is not in play, an obsession being always present would be less predictable and therefor imo better.

    also having a totem be lit always is not imo a bad thing, more points for the one that destroys it and it might eventually help a little bit with people complaining their hex is destroyed instandly (now personally I believe in the risk/reward factor, but still).

    what, the point of the obsession is the opposite, it was always meant as a negative, but they changed it a long time ago that if anyone brings an obsession perk, any single one of them could be the obsession, it does not actually show who it is so it does not really give that information as it is anyway.

    again, I said this already, its to make the game less obvious, again, for both sides.

    right now not having an obsession in the game tells everyone soooo much, before when there was 1 or 2 obsession perks it was fine but now you can throw out a boat load of it and that does influence heavily how the game will go.

    If the killer brings an obsession perk and you arne your friends do not, the killer still does not know if DS is in play because they bamboozled themselves by bringing an obsession perk...

    its very inconcistent as is, I feel it says too much and that goes agains the point of the game so Im still in favor of always have an obsession in the game just so its not so extremely skewed.

    I disagree. I think it removes a layer of thought from the game (now the presence of an Obsession is irrelevant) and would make everything worse.

    There is so many other obsession perks than just DS. Also, some killer perks even create an obsession.

    Bring a perk like for the people or literally any of laurie's perks.

    The only people against having a obsession by default are the ones that want ez tunnel games cause there are no obsessions in their matches.

    I mean... what is this going to fix? DS is useless now and serves no purpose so nobody is going to use it. And killers will know nobody is going to use it. Obsession or not, it doesn't matter.


    I'm just tunneling everyone as Spirit now and they die with 5k points and 4 generators left. That's what I'm guessing people enjoy anyway!
