DS should be built into the game, no perk

In it's current state everyone should have DS since it makes the game more healthy.

In return give killers a weaker version of Hex Ruin base as well to extend the game and make gen rushing less ridiculously broken.


No one likes being tunneled off hook.

No one likes being gen rushed before they can even play the game.


Make the game less toxic/fun to play for both sides.

    Why should the power role be given a free extra second chance perk?

    Aren't 4 perk slots enough?

    Also from the other side, a free inbuilt ruin, albeit it weaker, would make 3 gen situations significantly more untenable for survivors.

    That doesn't even touch the obvious issues with not getting to use any of the gen kicking perks.

    If you want the effects of DS, then you need to run DS....

    You can't expect to reap the benefits of a perk without including it in your build.

    Now if you were to suggest making every game have an obsession, irregardless of perk use, that would potentially help mitigate tunneling without absolutely neutering the killer.

    Full power DS but not full powered Ruin? When ruin already only regresses at 1/2 the speed of one survivor working on a gen and only if they get off of it.

    I'd rather not.

    Opinion disclaimer for the next two paragraphs.

    DS doesn't need to be built in, survivors just need to stop playing like they were when DS was making extremely unsafe plays advantageous because I still have teammates pull me off right in front of the killer within 4 seconds of me being hooked with no obsession and half the time no BT. Those bad habits need to go yesterday. Your teammates get you tunneled way too often in my experience, but then they blame the killer just because the killer capitalized on their potato play. Just do safe unhooks.

    Base ruin won't help with the 1 hook = 3 gens problem either since you can just sit on the gen until its done if its anywhere past 50-60% before you go for the save in most cases, and that's what happens. A done gen doesn't regress, ruin did nothing to help in that situation, gen rush still happened. Gens just need to take longer in general if you want to address gen times or the killer objective needs to be sped up to comparable times. I'd rather the latter since skilless holding M1 is no fun for anyone, the former only if it adds some new mechanic into the game. Ruin base would just make killers who can already pressure stronger while the ones who need the help more because they can't, barely get any benefit in a game where the survivors are decent. A Spirit/Nurse with base Ruin? Yeah that'll help. A Clown/Wraith with base ruin? Well the gens done or close to it before they finish chasing anyone so meh.

    I don't even want ruin, I'd want a version of corrupt intervention.

    Maybe this can be something the devs can temporarily implement and gather data to see if it works well. It’s not a bad idea.

    Camping, tunnel, gen rush.

    Build in DS would somehow reduce tunneling

    I really want a start game collapse that slow down gen (please add a new objective to run around. I don't want to sit on Gen longer)

    Make hook works like PH cage
