Actual Headache/Migraines while playing killer

Hey there. I've been playing DBD on and off on pc for the last 2 years or so. I play a fair amount of both survivor and killer and while it could be stressful to be a killer sometimes I never let it get me to bent out of shape if things weren't going great. But as of late I've noticed when I have to focus particularly hard or sweat a little to keep up with survivors I'll start to get mild headaches that only get worse the longer the game goes on. I have no idea what is happening but I can't seem to play killer more than a couple times a day or else I end up with a migraine. I play survivor without any issues, even when I'm just as focused as when playing killer. The only real thing that I can say is that it started to happen around the time the UI changed. This isn't a joke or a complaint about anything in the game, I'm just curious if anyone else is experiencing this. Regardless if this has or is happening to you. I'd appreciate any kind of insight to help with this. I want to keep playing killer but its actually hurting me now. It isn't the volume cause I even tested it without sound and I still started to feel pain in my head. I'd be worried if it happened at any other time but it consistantly only occurs while in the middle of playing as killer, specifically during a chase. My gf said it could be motion sickness from the FOV/POV but it wasn't ever an issue before. I don't know, its really weird. Thanks for reading.

It gives me a feeling of anger every time I have a hard time catching someone. Or get away from a killer. Like I can't help it. The best solution. Get out of the low ranks.

I know how you feel but that isn't what I'm experiencing. The game doesn't bother me that much, win, lose, I just try to enjoy it. Sure, I get a bit frustrated now and then but its not an emotional response for me, it feels sensory.

As mentioned above, it could be stress getting to you. Usually when this occurs to me, I take a break, and I'd reccomend you do the same in future.

I do recognize that stress is powerful and it is more than capable of causing these things but I just think its so weird that when I started out I wasn't nearly as good as I am today and I would get way more stressed out from it admittedly. Then I learned how to cut loops off and do some head games and yadda yadda red ranks blah blah and now I feel pretty capable in 90% of my matches. I never got headaches before buy it could be a subconscious thing like you're saying. Either way, I guess I will take a killer break. Thanks.

Bit of a necro but I just wanted to say that I experience this too! Every time I play killer I start to feel a headache. It's not a huge emotional reaction, it's just a dull pain in my head. My best guess is that when I play killer I'm straining to see a lot (cylinders moving on generators, survivor movement in the background, bloodstains, crows, etc.) so I wonder if that's what's causing these headaches.

Even in the best case scenario it's not a real solution, but try running shadowborn. It could be that you are getting motion sickness due to unconventional FoV, I've seen people complain about a few times.

I totally get this, one thing that really helps me is to make sure I drink plenty of water whilst playing, when you're hyper focused it is so easy to forget and time seems to fly. I still get a bit of a headache when I drink enough but nowhere near as bad.
