Increase in hackers?

Am I the only one who’s been running into a lot more hackers recently? I’ve had 5 in my last 2 playing sessions. They are also all using the same hacks which is to keep making injured noises / doing the kick Victor animation / travelling under the map. I’m not sure if it’s the same person I’ve been running into. But the name / survivor they’re using is always different. I hate facing it as a survivor and a killer. It just ruins the entire match. :/

Yeah, it sort of surges here and there. It used to be nonexistent a little over a year ago.

I’ve seen videos on YouTube about them but I’ve only experienced them for myself this week. It’s annoying hearing them just making dying noises constantly. It gives me a headache. XD

I'm definitely one of the luckier people here, I'm yet to run into a hacker since starting dbd.

DBD needs better anti-cheat. Either that or EAC needs to get updated at some point.

Tru3 recently uploaded a video to his YouTube with a hacker and they’re using the exact same hacks I keep coming across. 🤨

It’s stupid that people just hack to try to annoy others. :(

I've only run into one obvious hacker in my time in DBD fortunately. (There are fringe cases, I think might have been hacking. But it's hard to be sure and I don't want to accuse anyone without being sure.) It was another survivor though, and they popped a gen maybe 5 seconds into the match. (Talk about Gen Rush!)

Don't worry, dedicated servers will fix it.

    🤧

Best you can do is report it.

At least the game isn't f2p but they probably run cracked copies anyways.

I had a hacking deathslinger last night while playing with my friend. At first he said has deathslinger always been this fast? Which I assumed he just got bloodlust. Then he chases me and hits me. All normal till a literal second later I'm suddenly speared from behind. I assumed STBFL so just put it down to that. I get unhooked and he's back. So I prepare myself around what I THOUGHT was STBFL. He shots and misses. His reload is super fast. Much faster than the add-on speed. I get a little suspicious at this point. He gets me and I die. I spectate and one of the randoms have the perk to see auras when gens are done (I forget it's name) and I see Deathslinger literally aiming through a wall right at the Meg I'm spectating following her literal movement. Turns out he was using a very minor speed boost, a reload boost beyond the normal via add-on and some sort of wallhacks/aimbot to track survivors behind Los blockers and buildings. And he was rank 1. I just couldn't believe a rank 1 was hacking. And just to clarify. He had no add ons equipped, and his only perk was NOED.

literally just had a hacking myers, recorded it and submitted video evidence, but honestly, bhvr make it so difficult to report. A streamlined reporting process would be very welcome, as well as lesss strict file size limitations on video evidence.

The game is currently on sale, so hackers can get cheap accounts to use in case they get banned.

I think upticks are mostly regional. God forbid you play DBD in Russia.
