Remove the disconnect penalty.

Disconnect penalty, as expected, just worked when it was just installed. Why? Because people respond to positive stimuli a lot more than negative ones. The negative ones just impact once they're implemented, and then they wear off. The failed war on drugs has proved this over and over for decades: the stick doesn't work.

People disconnect less when there is a rift open and they have missions that have to be done through several gameplays. They don't have to put up with abusive players. Especially when you nerf the only anti-tunneling perk, DS.

The current discourse of 'it has to be fun for everyone, if you start you have to play till the end!' sounds a lot like college grad shaming a girl who doesn't want things to go further on a date. And then you apply a penalty to that., much like that same college grad talking ######### about said girl. "She shouldn't go on a date if she doesn't want to go all the way!".

Just remove the silly penalty and find other ways of rebalancing the game and giving people stimulus to keep playing as well as stimulus for killers to not camp/tunnel.

People disconnect easily even with the penalty. First on the ground, dc. Tbagged during chase and it backfired, dc. Dont like certain killer, dc. Imagine what would it be if there was no penalty at all.

You don't have to play. You are free to dc if it's worth the penalty. If you feel like you need to dc often, maybe this game isn't the best for you.

Also, you can still be safe for a minute if you want. Just don't do objectives during that time, and DS is there.

Well, it sounds wrong to you then. And "Get good" sounds exactly like the college grad.

I like the DC Penalty. Teaches people to take the loss with dignity and respect. Who am I kidding :D I just like it when I get screwed by a teammate in a match due to them DC'ing that after I die and get another match, I won't have to worry about matching up with them again :D
