Lucky break will become meta and it's bad

Lucky break will not only hide your blood, in the upcoming ptb it will also disable your scretchmarks as soon as you're injured. Yeah the time is reduced but... You get hit, get the speed boost and no killer can see where you are going. This with iron will and the survivor just disappears to heal themself and then they have at least half of the perks 90 seconds left.

I don't think it will become meta. It might be too good with iron will because it lasts for so long; but if that turns out to be true it wouldn't be hard to fix by either lowering it's duration some more or making your sounds of pain not affected in that time.

Honestly; most chases I start I end up still seeing where the survivor is or went after the attack cooldown; and if/when I most likely get them their perk is useless unless used again later in that 90 second time which they probably won't.

If I hit them, see another survivor and swap to them, then again it's useless unless they make some use out of it in that 90 second time which they probably won't.

See where I am going with this? If it turns out too be too strong, it should be pretty easy to fix, just with adjusting it's duration. I am not saying it's too strong or too weak till I experience it; but I am not that worried.

EDIT: So when I wrote this I was unaware of one major piece of info that ClownIsKing just updated me on. It pauses if you are healthy or down/on hook. This might make it a bit better than I thought, I dunno....I am still on the fence but this is important to know.

It's not like players use poised lightweight distortion etc... Why would they use lucky break? + It's only 90 seconds and when you heal urself it will take time It will NOT become meta

Early game is the most important part for killers. This perk just makes that harder.

And no, survivor won’t be stupid enough to heal in that 90 secs. They’ll be doing gens and bail away when killer approaches, which he can’t track in any way.

Not to mention this makes chase extremely annoying for killers. Paired with iron will, you have no way to know how survivors loop because you need to moonwalk or hide behind walls to trick survivors, basically means loss of sight. This makes mindgame nearly impossible. They can leave the loop at any moment and you won’t know.

Lucky Break doesn't work on Oni's blood orbs

That perk got overbuffed a lot. This will be so annoying to play againts even if it is not meta.

I can allready imagine some people / SWF groups picking indoor maps (Lary's probably the best for this) and running this perk with iron will.

I doesn't metter if it is meta or not... It will be at the very least super annoying vanish card in Surivivor's hands.

I feel like it can be amazing in very specific circumstances that are hard to get. Most maps are pretty open and it really won't do that much for you. It will only really be fantastic on indoor maps and even then you can just get hit, be left alone and then be injured on a gen for 90 seconds and get no use at all.

at all, do u think will replace usual Borow time ( wich btw is getting buffed even more), exhaustion perk (the one in your choice, i use Dead Hard) , Unbrekable your second chance perk to fix a heavy mistake, and Decisive Strike wich even after the nerf, locker DS is still stupidly uncounterable for most killers. (except trapper)

I still don't understand why shifting meta is a bad thing. I'd rather face someone with lucky break, so they drop a second chance perk. You will need to run it with iron will in order to make it really work.

So staying on the boring meta of ds unbreakable, dead hard trio is good

It's kinda nice to see the meta change a little bit. People always complain that survivors use the same perks well this will actually change that for once.

I'd say it would be a good condition if they removed the speed burst you get when you get hit. Think this would help a lot so the killer can keep track of them better.

Oh look another prophecy about perk become meta, yeah.

Any mean's necessary, for the people and power struggle want have a talk with you

Against competent survivors, you already have to moonwalk and hide your red stain in ordner to catch them (quicker). That does not change at all with a stronger lucky break. And in structures like jungle gyms or shack, you usually now where they are running based on vision or sounds, scratchmarks or blood is not so important. It is already harder when they have iron will, but Lucky Break on top does not change much in this scenario. The only key situation where lucky break will help greatly is getting out of chase / avoiding getting into a new one. But when you are already being chased and the killer is observant, it will hardly help you escape. In conjunction with Iron Will possibly, but on it's own rather not.

No but breaking the meta by introducing an even more powerful perk that the current meta can be a problem. When the current meta is already very powerful. I still have Mettle of Man flashbacks.

The thing is a lot of Killer mains are not against shifting the meta, they are against shifting the meta by buffing other perks. They want Survivors to switch builds by nerfing the meta so bad they have to stop using the perks not because other perks are now interesting or useful.

Maybe it won't be OP, but it will be annoying for a while. Killers will adapt, as they always do. But I think we all know what happen when killers are discouraged from chasing.

"why are survivors still using the same 4 perks devs change the meta im angry"

devs buff a perk and make it half decent so maybe 5 people will actually use it

"omg another meta perk ######### going to be so op everyone will quit and the sky is falling"

So , a question. Does lucky break timer pause when you heal back up?

So you can use it when injured again?

Dosent give health state is terrible tends to be the reaction of every survivor i hear an opinion on this. Which is really dumb. Perks like iron will and spine chill are absurdly powerful its just there playstyle runs counter to what a survivors tend to play. ie chase me I'll loop'em.

Misinformation or removing tracking indicators is a huge advantage. But it will requires a specific playstyle. Yes survivors perks have remained meta for survivor for a prolonged period. But OG MoM demonstrates that no matter how good the best survivor perks are a new perk can come along and change everything.

Lucky break imo will likely replace ds since it serves a similar function. It will mill be mandatory to pair with iron will. Build ideas like lithe or sprint burst post taking a hit will allow you to disappear and shake the killer on a majority of maps.

Did you really have to mention old MoM? Now I am going to have flashbacks.

On a more serious note, I agree. Shifting the meta by buffing weaker perks our introducing new ones is a good idea, but it must be done carefully. Some things just literally break the game.

i guess it will make Stridor Spirit even stronger ^^

    I mean...

    1. The perk lasts 90 seconds, max.
    2. It must be paired with Iron Will to have -any- relevant effect.
    3. You still have to break line of sight with the killer for long enough to throw them off your trail.
    4. If the killer isn't on you and you're injured, you're still gonna lose time without getting any benefit.

As much uproar as there is about this perk, I doubt it will see that much use. I mean, how popular is Lithe + Dance With Me, really? It pulls off the same thing.

That's cause certain survivors are to afraid to take their second chances off because they can't do as good without them

do you want them to butcher this perk like mettle of man and make it completely useless?

  • supersonic853

Good, the meta hasn't changed for years. A perk that might actually throw a wrench into the meta and force it into a change is good.

So it's better to change a too strong meta with a even stronger meta??
