A lot more people are probably going to start telling you this, but there WAS a patch where BHVR made this change and people hated it. Flashlight saves were way too lenient and frequent at a casual level of play, it totally messed up the dynamic of the overwhelming majority of matches. It's a simple skillgap, but it's a really important one for the balance of casual play.

And, come on dude, "My timing is pretty much the same every time?" No, if you missed the save, then your timing was simply wrong. Asking for a challenge to be removed instead of rising to it is quitter talk! Nothing is impossible! You can do it!

(also, as a potential solution to help you get the timing down, you could practice flashlight saves repeatedly in a KYF lobby, if you have two friends willing to do some DbD training)

this was actually a feature for a month or so, if I remember correctly. It also did the same thing for pallets; you stun them during the pickup they drop them afterwards

Killers couldn't hook anyone because of the flashlight saves and pallet saves, and there wasn't anything they could do about it.

No, do not bring it back

The problem is right now, that the the flashlight save timing depends on the killer ping. There are also other heavy latency and desync problems, that were completely gone right after 4.5.2 but are back now. So when you didn't get a save but should have it most certainly is because your killer has a high ping. That is not solved by giving a free FLS every time the killer picks someone up, but rather by fixing the desync and latency AGAIN.

I just had this happen to me in 2 matches. Got a blind off like a half second before the survivor got on the shoulders of the killer and it registered as a blind but did nothing. The 2nd one I could swear happened perfectly and it should've dropped the survivor but it didn't. It almost makes flashlight saves not worth it honestly. I try to do it as often as I can to save people but more times than not it doesn't work. If you get the blind off at any point between the pickup animation it should release the survivor.

As a killer main, I wouldn't be against this. It feels like a very cheap, undeserved victory when a survivor misses a save by a matter of milliseconds.

But maybe it really was that bad when it was implemented; I wasn't here to see it.

I feel like survivors being able to even start a blind while the killer picks up a survivor is cheap and unfair.

Its one of the reasons I almost always bring Franklin's.

It was bad enough it got hotfixed removed within a roughly a week.

It was the single fastest removal of any mechanic ever in DBD...

They’re not entitled to get the save. If they mess it up then that’s on them. Too bad, so sad.

As someone who uses alot of flashlights, I'll tell you this idea is broken.

We had it before and it was that broken that they removed it in a few days.

So... basically you want half of Patch 1.9.2 back?
