Spirit OP Add on
Does anyone else think its a little ridiculous that the payer beads bracelet removes the phasing sound? It is impossible to tell if she come to your gen so she gets a free insta down if they're people on that Gen. I think that this add on should be removed, I think it is way to OP and removes the ability to guess on how to react to her.

You don't touch my prayer beads im a very religious spirit killer. Don't you shame my religion i have a right to my beads.But if you are having trouble with the spirit, play one round of chess. Trust me if you are good at chess you will out fox her everytime. But then again if the spirit is better at chess you can't win. She is the mindgame queen in the hands of a good chess player.You just need to read the spirit and ussually its by watching her in action with others. There are 2 types of phasing she can do long and short. Can start to understand the pattern of play from that or get feedback from friends.7

I don't think there is any out play ability about this add on. Its like playing Chess with a blindfold and ear muffs on. you know cant hear or see her.

Premonition and spine Chill are used against all killers at all time, especially Wraith and Pig and Myers once he gets to Evil II. You also get good use out of them against Billy, Nurse, Hag, Huntress, Trapper etc, Just wait until you go up against a Wraith with movement speed addons and quick uncloaking which are also very rare addons.
If you're not willing to pay attention to your surroundings while playing then you can't complain when a killer nails you. In fact you'e just as bad as the killer that don't want to run anything but their favourite perks despite seeing what the survivors are and what they're bringing.
They then do exactly what you do and complain that it's to hard and they shouldn't have to adapt, everything should be easy for them.

the spirit is honestly overpowered garbage once shes mastered. her whooshing sound basically cant be heard if the chase music is blaring in your headset regardless of the no sound addon or not. and she insta un cloaks and can attack immediately with a speed boost, which is the main thing that makes the wraith suck. so basically shes everything amazing about the wraith with none of the downfalls with a slightly slower movement speed with the most insane mindgame potential plus she cant be blinded while she vaults and very rarely can u successfully blind her on pallets (same with hag)

You complain about taking away the sound well guess what Evil within I Myers has ZERO terror radius and no sound. Wraith has no terror radius while cloaked and is invisible and has more multiple rare addons that make him a beast.
If I were to use your example, unless you were looking at his direction and saw some grass move or in his case a shimmer you wouldn't know he's there. What you don't like is the fact you can't play against her the same way as all the other visible killers.
The drawback is that it's very rare and unlike some of the addons you use doesn't drop like candy in her blood web. It's also only a fre down if YOU'RE NOT PAYING ATTENTION. If you're going to tunnel vision on that gen then you deserve to get pulled off.

You can see every other one of those killers. You can see them coming up if you are paying even a slight bit of attention. she is on the other hand is COMPLETELY INVISIBLE AND MAKES NO NOISE WITH THIS 1 ADD ON. This has nothing to do with me not paying attention or adapting. I can either take up a perk slot to maybe not get pulled off by her, or I can maybe see the grass move and run away. I am completely fine playing against her the way she is. I know that she came come out at any time. The sound queue is needed for you to have any idea where she is 99% of the time. Its like Freddy with no lullaby times 100 because she can appear instantly. The add on is completely overpower and I do think it should be removed but the Devs for this game aren't exactly the brightest so I don't see them taking it out so the least I would like to see is get it nerfed. There is little to no counter play for the add on. You can run a perk or maybe see grass move and that is your only options for ever telling where she is. There is no making mistakes against her, it is a 50/50 and that is completely unfair in this type of game where every single action counts.

Again this all boils down to you refusing to adapt, you want a perk removed or made rarer because you don't like it. You want it gone/removed because you don't want to have to run a perk that works against ehr and all other killers. You want it gone/removed because you don't want to have to pay attention to grass moving or making sure you're not tunnel visioned on the gen.
It really wouldn't matter if it was ultra rare or not, you'd still complain it's op because you don't want to adapt and learn how to counter her. If you have problems with ehr than a Wraith with very rare addons that allows him to decloak and move super quick will give you even more trouble.
You say you can't compare well sure you can, all killers can pull you off gens because you refuse to pay attention. Why even Bubba with all his issues can sneak up on you because you don't want to have to pay attention. If he has tinkerers well guess what you're getting grabbed off that gen.
Myers Evil Within I and his VERY RARE Scratched Mirror is going to grab you off gens and he has ZERO terror radius. Also unlike Spirit he can see your Aura within 12 meters even behind walls and guess what he can grab you off gens.
Then there's the Wraith that has a VERY RARE addon that allows him to see auras while cloaked within 12 meters. So he can also sneak up on you while invisible and grab you off the gens.
Lastly if you think it's so op take her to rank 1 and then use that addon and 4k every game with her, since it's so op you should have no problem doing that.

Maybe I should just be quiet and not add to this discussion, but I still don’t see how this add-on when combined with Nurses, BBQ and possibly M&A does not give the opportunity for free downs/grabs with zero possibilities for counterplay unless survivors are bringing specific perks just to have a chance to counter this. I don’t quite see how it’s comparable to EW1 Meyers or Wraith either.Btw, I am not playing survivor at all anymore, so I have zero risk of encountering this in the game, but I like playing Spirit, I just want everyone to enjoy the match and I don’t see how such an add-on/perk combination can be fun to play against. Prayer Beads would be cool if they would just tremendously reduce the whoosh radius, but to take it away completely seems a little bit too much for me and I won’t use them.
Since I am not interested in playing survivor anymore I have no idea how many spirits run this add-on/perks. If it’s just a few then the devs probably won’t bother anyway.0 -
It's still not as bad as Tombstone piece Myers. Yeah he has to work for his but you can instantly be taken out of the game with a single mouse click.1

@rha I don't know of many that run it since more prefer her ultra rare addon along with other combos and all killers pretty much run BBQ which you can counter. M&A is nice but I've never used it mainly because I haven't gotten it yet . But also for her i sometimes run Distressing to screw with people since they don't know where i'm at.
Your un Distressing with BBQ, and Unrelenting depending on how you want to play. You can run Enduring/Iron GRasp/ so many other perks depending on what the survivors choose both in characters and items.
There's also counterplay, it's called running perks that help you out, Bond so you know when someone's in a chase, Premonition/SPine Chill to give you heads up. You can run DS if you're so worried about it along with Boil over etc.
There're a lot of options but the op doesn't want to choose those because it'd mean adapting to the changing situation. At rank 1 i have no problem with Spirit sneaking up on me because i run a perk just in case that also counters Pig, Wraith etc. It also helps with Insidious campers to boot as well as letting me know if the killer is camping just outside terror radius.

This is more using knights in chess. You know where all the chesspieces can go forward. But since knights move in a L shape don't know which way it is going. Just got to prepare for the player to take out knight with hopefully team of 4 pawns gauging the attack. You can lose a pawn but learn how they went down. Once you know her phasing pattern can take them down. Killers have to learn swf mindgames the same can be said with her. But at least got 4 people to figuire it out together.1 -

Those other killers add on my be OP too but you can see them. You can even see the wraith, but you CANNOT SEE THE SPIRIT AT ALL. If you get pulled off a gen by one of those other killers I believe it to be your fault for not seeing them come up. You CANNOT SEE HER COME TO YOU. The only way for you to tell that she is coming near you with out a perk is to see grass move. Zero terror radius is fine as long as you have a chance to see them. So if you cant see them it should be fair to at least be able to hear them right? This add on is much more powerful then what you are comparing it to. Its not me failing to adapt. If you can predict when the spirit is coming to you with this add on, without a perk to tell she is looking in your general direction in the jig saw map then sure I'll believe you, but it cant be done. Her coming to your gen is random.

You just need to read the spirit and ussually its by watching her in action with others. There are 2 types of phasing she can do long and short. Can start to understand the pattern of play from that or get feedback from friends.
I don't think there is any out play ability about this add on. Its like playing Chess with a blindfold and ear muffs on. you know cant hear or see her.
This is more using knights in chess. You know where all the chesspieces can go forward. But since knights move in a L shape don't know which way it is going. Just got to prepare for the player to take out knight with hopefully team of 4 pawns gauging the attack. You can lose a pawn but learn how they went down. Once you know her phasing pattern can take them down. Killers have to learn swf mindgames the same can be said with her. But at least got 4 people to figuire it out together.
Are you telling me I should let one of my teammates die to try to understand how she phases? Like people have patters but its not like they stick to it like a programmed fight. Take fighting games for example, you have a pattern but you switch it up to confuse you opponent, you cant switch it up if you're a survivor, you have 1 thing you can do: work on gens. How she comes at you can be completely mixed up. From fake leaving to changing which gens she goes to, to a whole lot of options to get to you. And as a survivor you need to try to guess that stuff or react to it if she finds you. And if you cant tell when she is coming you have no way to guess or react to it if she finds you.

Good grief, you don't want to run 1 of 2 perks that can counter her and every other killer in the game except Evil I Myers. Then you turn around and say there's no counter despite just acknowledging those 2 are counters.
You're also using a logical Fallacy in comparing a fighting game to DBD it's like comparing League of Legends to WOW. You choose to use perk slots to counter killer abilities all the time, Self Care, Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Balanced Landing, Iron Will etc.
In fact if you're running a single perk then you're using a perk slot to counter the killer in some way, shape or form. So complaining about having to use a perk slot to counter her is highly hypocritical when you're already running perks to counter the killer.
I can counter her with that addon and never get grabbed off the gen unless I'm trying to get that last 1%, and it's a rarity that anyone that know how to play her or against her gets grabbed. You've been given solutions to the problem but refuse to use them because you don't want to adapt.
Again the rarity could change and it wouldn't change then fact you'd still get grabbed because you refuse to adapt and change your ways.
Finally since you think the addon is so op take Spirit to rank 1 and 4k every game with her, you should have no problem doing so with that addon. In fact you should be able to hit rank 1 within a day 2 at most and stay there and 3-4k every game.

You can compare to aspects on games that a fact. You can compare any game to another game if they have similar or basic things to compare. There is only 1 solid counter to this add on and you need a perk to counter it. if there is no grass you cannot see her or tell she is near you. I can compare other games to your issue and point out how other people manage in those games to adapt whereas you refuse to. There are 2 solid counters to her addon and both you refuse to use because it crimps your playstyle. In fact all killers can sneak up on you behind a wall and if they have Tinkerer then you won't get a terror radius either. Your problem is and will remain the fact you refuse to change or adapt to one killer and 1 addon. I watched a streamer earlier play without either of those addon on Lery's and never get grabbed once. She wasn't near grass and couldn't see her coming nor hear her yet did just fine.
The devs aren't going to remove an addon just because you refuse to use the available tools to counter it,e specially when that information has been given to you. If she had a 100% grab rate using this addon you'd see it get nerfed but since people adapt and learn to counter her they won't.
IF you won't change or adapt and won't learn to play killer you'll keep getting nailed by her or any killer for that matter. It's obvious you're going to keep using the add on as an excuse for not changing instead of fixing the issue which is you.
On wide open maps you can look and see her phase, on close maps it's all about situational awareness.

Yes I play fighting games and yes you do not need to play a character to understand a character. Dgraon ball fighter Z for example, I dont play Bardock but I know all of his move I know how his combos work and I know what he gets on block and what he can do to open you up. I've never jumped off a bridge but I know how to jump off a bridge, its a simple concept. Sure that perk counters all those killers but its not NEEDED for them at all you do NOT NEED that perk to play against those killers. YOU NEED 1 of those 2 perks to deal with spirit if she has this add on. Under stand what that means. Understand that you dont need that counter on any of the other killers but you NEED them to fight her with this add on. That is why it is OP. Understand that you NEED to have them to stand a chance, you do NOT NEED them to fight against other killers. Take a fighting game for example. Imagine if there was someone who was just as good as everyone else but was the only one with a command grab. You can counter it by pressing a button but from now on now you have to press that button that was never there before. To compare, all of the killers on this game are pretty decent but she is the only one who cannot be seen or heard with this add on. Sure I can use a perk to try to counter it but I shouldnt have to.

Now to show you how foolish your argument really is with something you can't move the goalpost so to speak again.We know for a fact that a killers terror radius is 32 meters and if you see them out side that you know where they are.
Your complain is you can't see her coming which is completely false since you can see her beyond her phasing distance when she's in the open. So you then complain you can't see her through a wall, but there's 2 perks that counter her and every other killer.
So now we get to where your argument is completely false and without premise due to the 32 meter terror radius. You can't hear her phasing sounds if you're outside her 32 meter terror radius. Whether she's using Prayer Beads or not and even if they had sound if you're outside the radius no sound.
So whether she runs it or not if you're outside her terror radius you can't hear her coming and you still get grabbed without ever knowing she's coming. Now to further show the fallacy of your argument there's this fact.
IF the Spirit is using Monitor and Abuse her terror radius is a mere 24 meters when not in a chase meaning outside that 24 meters you can't hear her phasing sound. Which means she can sneak up on you and grab you off a gen because you can't see or hear her coming.
That's without using the Prayer Bead addon you're complaining so vociferously about and the facts are the same you can't see her coming. So whether she uses the addon or not you're still going to get grabbed by a Spirit because you refuse to adapt.
If she decides to run Tinkerer and or M&A together well guess what that tunnel vision on the gen means she now has no terror radius. She can phase 5 meters away from you and you'd never know she was there because you refuse to adapt.
You'd still end up getting grabbed off that gen but then your complaint would have to evolve to nerf/remove Tinkerer/M&A. I've grabbed people off gens without using Prayer Beds just by using movement speed addons and phasing outside the terror radius.
I've also used Tinkerer combined with other perks for a jumpscare build and never used Prayer Beads and still pulled people off gens. Like you they complained it was op until I told them the ways to counter it like using the 2 perks, paying attention to grass.
Like not jumping right on a gen at start until you find out who the killer is, changing your facing on a gen to one not so easily grabbed. But unlike you they took the advice and ran with it and saw the logic behind it and in follow up matches they did much better.
I've now shown you how specious your argument is and how despite it's ever evolving nature it's still invalid, you can keep denying the facts or accept them.

That's without using the Prayer Bead addon you're complaining so vociferously about and the facts are the same you can't see her coming. So whether she uses the addon or not you're still going to get grabbed by a Spirit because you refuse to adapt.
If she decides to run Tinkerer and or M&A together well guess what that tunnel vision on the gen means she now has no terror radius. She can phase 5 meters away from you and you'd never know she was there because you refuse to adapt.
You'd still end up getting grabbed off that gen but then your complaint would have to evolve to nerf/remove Tinkerer/M&A. I've grabbed people off gens without using Prayer Beds just by using movement speed addons and phasing outside the terror radius.
I've also used Tinkerer combined with other perks for a jumpscare build and never used Prayer Beads and still pulled people off gens. Like you they complained it was op until I told them the ways to counter it like using the 2 perks, paying attention to grass.
Like not jumping right on a gen at start until you find out who the killer is, changing your facing on a gen to one not so easily grabbed. But unlike you they took the advice and ran with it and saw the logic behind it and in follow up matches they did much better.
I've now shown you how specious your argument is and how despite it's ever evolving nature it's still invalid, you can keep denying the facts or accept them.
Im really not going to read your entire page on how you think Im wrong. The add on takes away the ability to hear where she is which is too over powered for a very rare add on. If you do not have 1 or 2 of the perks that you said you should run then no you cannot predict when she is coming or what she is doing.Not having a organic counter to a item is completely over powered. I've made my point. Im not going to keep arguing with you. You clearly do not know how over powered it is to only have 2 perks to hard counter this add on. It takes away the organic skill to this game. It makes you rely on 2 perks. Thats why its overpowered.

Good grief let me break it down for you then so you can't ignore it.
- You can't hear her phasing outside her 32 meter terror radius.
- Since you can't hear her phasing whether she uses that addon or not you can't hear her coming outside that distance.
- If she runs Monitor and Abuse she only has a 24 meter terror radius that you can't hear her phasing outside.
- If she runs Tinkerer then she gets no terror radius when a gen is at 85% meaning you can't hear her coming.
- If she runs both then you can't hear her coming to grab you off the gen so therefore your argument about the addon is invalid.
There I just invalidated your entire complaint since you can't hear her coming outside her terror radius since 2 movement speed addons does the exact same.

Prayer Beads should be a pink add-on for how powerful it is. Mother's Ring should be purple.

There's 2 hard counters and most maps even Lery's have Grass and Myers in tier I can sneak up up on you when you're behind a wall. Amanda can sneak up on you behind a wall and you can't see her either. Wraith can sneak up on you behind a wall and you can't see him either.
In fact all killers can sneak up on you behind a wall and if they have Tinkerer then you won't get a terror radius either. Your problem is and will remain the fact you refuse to change or adapt to one killer and 1 addon. I watched a streamer earlier play without either of those addon on Lery's and never get grabbed once. She wasn't near grass and couldn't see her coming nor hear her yet did just fine.
The devs aren't going to remove an addon just because you refuse to use the available tools to counter it,e specially when that information has been given to you. If she had a 100% grab rate using this addon you'd see it get nerfed but since people adapt and learn to counter her they won't.
IF you won't change or adapt and won't learn to play killer you'll keep getting nailed by her or any killer for that matter. It's obvious you're going to keep using the add on as an excuse for not changing instead of fixing the issue which is you.
On wide open maps you can look and see her phase, on close maps it's all about situational awareness.

Sure I can sacrifice one of my perks just in case I ever run into her with that add on again but personally I don't need that item on me 24/7 to deal with any other killer. The only time I would ever find it handy to use is against her with this add on. It needs to be nerfed.

Survivors only holding M1 and running in circles is all we wanna do... gen sim and ring around the rosie is the only way we wanna play and curse the killers that force us to use our brains..

Doctor could be using x addons but you don't know.
Billy could be using steering and crd addons but you don't know.

You can also run Bond like some people do so they always know where the killer is in a chase, and of course always assume she has BBQ. If she hooked far away stay on the gen for 2 seconds and or move around slightly till 4 seconds.
She can be mindgamed even with that addon, it's all about the timing which is why i suggest playing her and learning her strengths and weaknesses. Because you can't say you know how to counter her if you don't know how to play her and how she reacts to counter moves. The same is true for any killer and how they might react.
You can also be sneaky and use Diversion against her when you expect she's coming towards you because even in the spirit form she'll still get the visual clues.
Lastly always assume she has the addon even when you find out she doesn't act like she does because if she's outside your terror radius you'll get grabbed just the same.

Just gen tap man. Unless you know shes busy in a chase with someone else.
There's a 1/13 chance of seeing a Spirit, even less chance she will have those add ons.
Sure gen tapping sucks but she won't hear you working on a gen, and they'd need to time their grab pretty damn well from guesswork.1 -
Stop doing the gen if you suspect the Spirit is phasing. I've never been pulled off of anything by a Spirit.2

All you need is one chase where you get out of her heartbeat to see she has PB. Once you know then you know to be more careful on gens so you don't get grabbed. Stop rushing the gen without thinking. Use some game sense. I've escaped from Spirit with PB before, a good one too, it wasn't easy but you can do it if you play smart.

Environment does not react to her phasing, which means that grass and other things don't move while she is walking on them using her power. You can't say if she is coming or not at all if she is using that addon. She can come to you and grab you wherever she wants, and you can do literally nothing about it. Unless you are an extrasensory.

Unless you are an extrasensory.This is absolutely incorrect. The environment entirely does react with her during phasing. You can see grass and everything. Also on top of this you can simply run Premonition or Spine Chill to know she is coming. Iron Will also just counters her in general.
