Farm maps are too bright, too killer favored
I feel like these redesigned maps are way too bright and it removes all options for stealth and combined with aura reading perks every single game there is nowhere to hide. Stealth players in particular are screwed on this map. It doesn’t look like DBD with it being so bright. Yes they are gorgeous but it is too advantageous for the killer. You can see completely across the map. It does not have much horror feeling with the sun being so bright.
If the map is going to be so bright and so easy for killers to see, then there needs to be more ways to defend against the killer such as more pallets and more loops, etc. The new lucky break won’t even help because it is so easy to see. I think the map designer needs to turn down the brightness and add some more pallets and ways to loop because its going to be too hard to survive on the farm maps. The PTB killers never struggled seeing everyone and they usually won. Maps should be darker.

I know I'm commenting under a Sluzzy post, but can we just admire how cool the new Coldwind looks? It reminds me of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies.
Also, could you by chance respond to my question? What are your thoughts on the Blight? Is he a crutch killer like the Huntress? Or is he a balanced killer like the Hillbilly?

What about the other maps? And personally I like the daylight for one realm it adds some diversity.

Yes, maps should be darker. But not in order to help survivors or killer. Maps should be darker because bright maps do not look like DBD at all.

I agree, but adding extra palets isn't a good idea. I think just making it nighttime would be good

Should I be surprised it's Sluzzy? To be honest, I never took you for an immersed Survivor.
New Coldwind is fine. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the usual blue-and-grey darkness of the other maps.

Lord_Tony would prob win, they're a lot more aggressive than Sluzzy and we don't know if they're baiting or not compared to Sluzzy.

I feel like with the amount of corn the map has, stealth wont really be a problem. I can see it being a problem for trapper since it didnt seem to have much grass at all.

Oh Sluzzy, don't pretend like anyone actually used stealth on the dark maps anyway.
Survivors know barely how to loop, that much less use stealth properly.

ALL of the re-worked maps are too bright, in my opinion. I'm less worried about ambiance than I am practicalities - the level of light now makes it difficult for both survivors and Killers to move unseen. It's not even just about stealth, it's simple movement in and around the map. This is especially true given how many costumes (which is how the game makes money) are brightly colored.
It IS possible to increase clarity without having to increase brightness.

People are joking around in the comments, but I actually do agree with the main idea here. It's not even really a question of stealth for me, since stealth is pretty weak in DBD in general. It just doesn't make a lot of sense for an environment in the DBD universe to be this bright. The Entity's realm is supposed to be full of dark, swirling fog, with little breaks for the arenas in which the trials take place. It feels strange to see a brightly lit cornfield in the center of what's supposed to be dark, swirling fog.
Beyond lore, I also find it takes away from the horror aesthetic. Horror certainly doesn't only need to take place in the dark, but these environments don't seem very creepy compared to others in the game. This applies to new Ormond as well.
