Old Legion was pretty much uncounterable... but they took a long time to actually get downs. You could use Feral Frenzy to lower the mending timer repeatedly hitting them until they finally died.

Also, without Feral Frenzy Legion was 110 so they pretty much only threatened anyone when their power was up

The first frenzy hit would apply DW and each subsequent hit would decrease the meter by 1/4th. Hitting a survivor with DW would refresh the duration instead of canceling. So legion in Frenzy was faster than you, could vault pallets and windows and there was no counterplay.

Also, DW would decrease while out of chase so a perfectly valid playstyle was to apply DW, cancel frenzy, and moonwalk following the survivor until they got down.

Long chases with little to no counter-play. Trickster has the potential to end up the same way. Imagine every time Trickster has LoS of you for at least 3 seconds you eat 2-3 blades. The blades pull out fast, the first few the trickster throws have almost no spread, and he loses very little distance for doing so. On top of that he has 60. You will die. Eventually. And there isn't much you can do about it.

Legion was similar but worse. Every time he stabbed you with frenzy, you'd lose a chunk of your timer. So he could just hit you and wait for his cool down over and over until your timer ran out and you died. Obviously legion in frenzy can ignore pallets and windows which means you would just be doomed, but it would take him a long time to kill you. Trickster's effectiveness at least depends a bit more on what tiles you have, where as OG Legion you were super doomed (that's not even considering the moonwalking to cheese deep wound).

Now, none of that makes him "OP" because even if he can down you with little counter play, it is still very time consuming to do so. So he will likely still lose. IMO it's fundamentally a badly designed power though.
