honestly if minecraft and omegle can detect a VPN shouldnt this game be able to do it too?

Played a game im from sweden had 50ms killer was from finland country next to me. Now that means he should have around the same ping as me 40 - 60(max). but for some reason he always teleported mid lounge like a internet lag teleport only on lounges. Im not sure how good lag switching is on dedicated servers but im pretty damn sure thats a VPN or something .

Now i know that there are players who use VPNS for a good cause, but those who use it to get an advantage is just impossible to play against since u cant greed anything and will ahve to drop early and then ur just throwing away half the value of the stuff you use. played a game against a spirit who hit me through a window like 2 sec after i vaulted it so :p...

People use VPN for a whole host of reasons, not least for privacy. The presence of a VPN doesn't mean they're cheating.

If they ever decide to block VPN's, I would immediately uninstall the game. I am not gonna play on "my" server (Eu, Germany) cause it's just legit 90% Russian players on it. They play killer and have SUPER bad ping which results in way too many bs hits and on top they NEVER talk english.

I either play on EU UK (have a 70 ping to that one) or NA East (120 ping). I mostly play survivor (like 70%) so I don't abuse it for bs hits as killer myself. Bad ping on playing survivor doesnt give you a advantage at all, its more the opposite esp against killers like Huntress.

Whilst I understand wanting to block VPN's so that unsavoury people don't abuse them to create artificial lag, I kind of hope they don't because I use one to cut 10-15 ping off my connection

yea i know some people use it for a better connection but as always when someoen abuses something its not only them who get effected unfortunately or they could just actually look at reports becasue i doubt the people who use vpns for lag doesnt do it once

VPN doesnt give u any privacy since everything u do is vissible and you cant get someones ip from the gamy anyway since its not p2p and the game is built up so you cannot it has nothing to do with privacy. Honestly do you think killers use VPN's for privacy? https://youtu.be/FMScV1Mkaok

If you want privacy you should use tor browser or anything that actually does what its suppose to do:).

The thing with VPNs is that a few of them offer static IP servers or dedicated IP add-on services that will make them pretty much undetectable to games such as this. Typically, services catch VPN users by watching their IP addresses -- VPNs assign IPs randomly, and a user with a frequently-switching IP is flagged as a VPN user. Some services also know exactly which IPs come from VPN servers. But when a VPN-user upgrades to a static IP (which some VPN providers offer for free), then services can't catch that. This is how VPNs break through even the infamous Neflix VPN blocks: https://www.vpn-service.org/can-your-vpn-handle-netflix/

That said, even if the game starts banning VPNs, it's just a step up for VPN users to make their activities undetectable. That means, of course, that you can use the same for your own ends, but I'm not sure how healthy that will be for the game.
