Please don't give out dc penalties if you're not gonna fix your game
This game is unbelievably broken and I don't see them doing anything about it, they just keep on adding killers hoping we forget about the bugs. We just got All-Kill and now we're getting resident evil, It really has not been that long.
This glitch is actually gamebreaking (Not the first clip, 2nd clip+), I had this glitch a few times as a survivor and I'm a killer main, I have done this glitch by accident TOO many times, I have done this glitch once 3 times to the same survivor and I felt bad that I actually did not hook him. This is not a ping issue, Killers can see what they're doing.
There are a bunch of bugs where you can get stuck for the rest of the game, so please, fix these too if you're gonna give out dc penalties
There are so many other bugs I'm pretty sure everyone can name a few.
Please, actually work on fixing bugs before releasing the resident evil chapter, I'd rather have bug fixes than a new chapter.

I do completely agree that the pallet issue is very frustrating and although it has happened less since the update it is still happening sometimes. I also agree that a health patch is necessary for this game, however I can't agree that they should remove the dc penalties in the mean time because it would make it 10x worse.
Imagine if when this happened to a survivor they just dc'd everytime then it would just screw everyone over. Plus there will always be the salty players that take advantage and just start dcing again because they got downed first or they don't like the killer etc,. The dc penalties were one of the best things for solo survivor imo.

You do know there is probably one more patch coming either this week or next. Also we have a whole mid chapter that will be released in a few weeks. You make it sound like RE chapter is coming out next week when it is going to be about 8 more weeks until that. If you've been around the game long enough, you would know that, for the most part, major bugs get fixed. I am pretty sure the pallet fix and breakdown fix will be In The next set of patch notes.

Maybe not remove the dc penalties but sometimes for me as a killer I have to dc because of the bugs and It gets annoying, I actually want to play the game, it's fun when I don't encounter any bugs.

It's so rare I encounter bugs as the killer tbh, game breaking ones anyway. I've had one this year where I had to dc because I had an imaginary survivor on my shoulder and the match wouldn't end. But maybe I'm lucky in that respect.

I thought this was gonna be a post about how often the game has been DCing people over their own server issues. It didn't matter yesterday when the server itself went down, because the server was down long enough that a DC timer didn't matter. But the day before, both my boyfriend and I got DCd a couple of times (and before anyone asks- no, it wasn't on our end- we don't even live in the same area and both of our internet connections were perfectly fine with absolutely zero interruptions) altogether and we of course got the DC timer. The fact that their server went down temporarily the next day leads me to believe that it 100% was on their end that we both randomly got DCd
I had just gotten unhooked from a face camping Bubba and was running away when I got DCd and the horrible timing on it ended up killing the entire team lmfao
Anyways, yeah, more on topic. I hate the DC timer but I love that it adds incentive for random solos to not DC. It's unfortunate but really the only way to heavily discourage the more casual DCs that would otherwise happen- getting a penalty for legitimate DCs or DCs that happened through absolutely no fault on your own and were in fact the fault of BHVR's servers/game is an unfortunate side casualty of making games a little bit better by keeping as many players in as long as the trial goes on.
I'm in it with you when I wish that they would somehow find out a way to not punish the players when it is their own game forcing a DC. I just don't think there is a way for them to do that without it being abused for more "selfish" DCs, though, unfortunately

I was also playing yesterday when the servers went down, i wanted to mention that but forgot.

I give ya one better mate. I got somewhat decent build, easily surpassing the recommended requirements, yet game likes to crash from time to time resulting in me getting DC penalty, gotta love those. When you get 2 crashes in short time, penalty starts stacking.
unfortunately this has no fix, with project with the size of the game, specially if its updated more or less frequently with new content, crashes from time to time are unavoidable and if they removed penalty from crashes, people would find the way to crash the game on purpose.
I guess they could implement "give up mechanic" where, if majority of players ALIVE agree to give up, game ends in victory of other side. So if killer abuses VPN to hit players with M1 across the map, players can just vote to give up game and move on. Doesnt really change much compared to giving up on hook.
