How to balance swf.
It has been probably suggested many times by now but here goes.
Reduce repair speeds by 5% per stack,so 4 stack 20%.
Never gonna happen I get it,what do u guys think though?

There is simply no way to balance SWF, when most of the time, it is simply people that just want to play with their friends.
And this idea just punishes Solo Survivor more, which is not something we want to do.
Solo Survivor is already the hardest thing in this game.

What about perks that slow down gen speeds? This would just make gen speeds impossible and unbearable.
No this is a bad idea.
(Why do people keep making terrible suggestions like this?)

Odds are If u are solo and u got 3 stack in your team, they will perform better than the average potato you would otherwise be put with in the first place.
So imo solo doesn't suffer from this,it is actually beneficial

That is imposible lol
There is so much teams are not using voice. So you will punish people because they are just wanna play with friends? That is not balance clearly.
You cant nerf SWF, that is not option. You can nerf all survivors but that will kill solo survivors.
There is only option i can see possibly, buff solo to SWF level and buff all killers for balance then. But i know nothing will change.

Wha- How does the solo survivor benefit? Sure, they may get the guarantee that they won't be matched with potatoes. But even so, those people are still doing the objective 15% slower.

You can't balance SWF.
Being in a SWF isn't a default bonus to player skill. SWF players can still suck, so no numerical buff can be considered.
What a SWF brings is additional coordination capacity. Not skill, just the capacity for it.
You can account for this by giving survivors tools that emulate this coordination:
- Survivors can view each others perks and item loads outs in the lobby, so they know the capabilities of their team mates.
- Survivors can press a button to trigger a pre-set map-wide message, something like "Killer is here", "Coast is clear", "Help me", "Leave me". In addition, have this 'ping' in their direction so you know where the message is coming from. Maybe with a 30s cooldown.
- Make the 'Glass Bead' add-on a default mechanic of all maps.
- Make something 'like' Kindred/Empathy/Bond a basekit feature. Perhaps you can hold down a button to trigger 'Survivor Instinct' which gives you a general direction that each survivor is in via the 'heartbeat' graphic of Killer Instinct. Give it a cooldown obviously. This wouldn't be an aura so not technically as strong as Kindred etc.
None of these things would buff SWFs, as communication via comms does the same thing. But it will bring solo players up closer to the capabilities of a SWF.
Once Solos are closer to SWFs, other balance changes can be made, like reducing gen speeds or whatever is necessary.

That sounds like an absolutely awful idea

Person: Suggests how to balance SWF
Forum people: You can't balance swf.

Heres a way to balance SWF. Three game modes:
Ranked - Solo queue survivor or play as killer. This is ranked
Casual - Here you can SWF but you earn 50% BP and your rank won't change.
KYF - Keep this the same, it is perfect.
Thoughts?

It would just make wait times even longer and most killers would play the swf servers. It would kill the game.

Hey remember when there was no SWF and people would dodge lobbies to play with their friends?
This is exactly what would happen.
Buff solos, buff killers, job done. That's all you can do.

I have started a discussion on this to get more feedback and if you head over there you will see that I have already addressed this.
Survivors get 50%BP, not the killer. This would incentivise the killer to play casual more often. He wouldn't be risking his rank and he would be getting the same amount of BP so it's a win-win for the killer.
Also, I don't know what skill level you are but for me personally after I have destroyed a few easy teams I am up for the challenge of a good SWF team.
I have to ask, do you think that all SWF teams are too strong?
I don't and just because you are playing casual and up against SWFs doesn't mean it is always going to be a sweaty game. I just feel like this is a good response to all those people who are complaining on the forums.
I have to agree with some killers who thought that at those higher ranks it is a little unfair to give a team of already amazing survivors the extra advantage of telepathy. This would solve that issue because those high-rank teams would never be competing for rank.

I don't think it's a good idea to punish people for partying up with their friends.
I think a better solution is to buff solo queue to limit the information gap with SWF. If that results in survivors overperforming, buff killer to compensate.

It would be good if there was a casual quick play vs. ranked mode for both sides in Dbd, so the nurses and spirits can get matched against SWFs and compete for pips, whereas solos can have a chill experience for fun and bloodpoints. Buffing or nerfing certain sides would just ruin the intended balance of the game.
