Let us delete the intro video
We've always been able to delete and skip the (loud, boring, repetitive) intro video, but as of the latest update, you're greeted with this:
I tried replacing the video with a blank mp4, but then I got this error instead:
I'm hoping this is a by-product of some dumb EAC update and not intentional by the developers because if it is... 😐😐😐

Better yet, just add an in-game setting to let us disable the intro video. I'd turn that on for sure.

"Just press a button". Lol console players mad they never had the option to delete the video. Did you miss the "loud" and "repetitive" in my post? Also, why are you arguing AGAINST customisability? Stay mad.
Anyway @notstarboard that's a good idea! (So the devs will never do it)

Eh, I am kind of on their side.
I've never played a PC game where I didn't enter the 'tap ESC repeatedly' step once it began to load so it would skip videos and title/logo cards. Most games nowadays have a prompt if you try to 'ESC' to exit game from the title screen anyway, so there's not much chance you'd accidentally esc your way back to desktop.
I think the only 'loud and repetitive' issue is if you skip too slow and it starts playing; or if skipping a video is really just too many seconds of effort.

Imagine thinking we’re mad for telling you to press a button to skip the intro, meanwhile you’re complaining cause you cant straight up remove the video, like you should even be able to in the first place. Lol I wonder who’s actually mad here.

It's still much faster to be able to skip splash videos. Usually the video takes 2 or so seconds to load then it takes an additional 2 or so seconds to actually skip the video. That's a few seconds faster boot up every time and it's not insignificant.

Wow! Pretty sure you are one of those stretched resolution users. People who delete and/or modify game files of a multiplayer game should be banned altogether with no debat why the done it.

I had heard this forum was a pile of dogshit, but didn't quite believe it until now. Damn. The point is, customisability has been taken AWAY from the end user. How are you going to sit and argue against customisability and convenience? Why do so many players of this game have Stockholm syndrome?
Nope. Stretched res sucks and I refuse to use it. Only mod I've done gameplay wise is disable vsync. Notice how your assumption was wrong? Now you look like a fool, so congrats.

I'm still able to press the Space bar to skip the intro video, so this sounds like a glitch or bug of some kind on your end.

I deleted the file a couple days ago and had no problem... Maybe you could try verifying data integrity and after that retry.

Can't say for sure in terms of the intro video though since you loaded in the game and met with the issue I would assume its the developers (just an assumption). Though its better not to delete that file and keep it. Even if as you stated you could do this before the update, that does not mean the game files will always stay the same. Changes are being made and changing files left and right will cause issues with the developers and EAC. Exercise with caution otherwise you have no one to blame but yourself.
