An offering to solve the war between "killer mains" and "survivor mains"
The philosophers of law support the thesis that the best lawmaker is the one who does not know which place they will occupy in the society they are legislating on, as such ignorance prevents private interest from addressing political choices to the detriment of logic, objectivity and common good. Obviously, it is an ideal, utopian condition: every Member of Parliament has their own personal, social and economic background and knows very well if a given reform is beneficial to them or not.
What does this talk have to do with Dead by Daylight? Very very much. This forum is infested by an endless poisonous war among bands, which argue biased in favor of the role they most interpret, falsifying reality, ignoring logic, insulting others, sometimes because blinded by the frustration of their crushing defeats, other times for deliberate bad faith in dialectics. Many users forget that the primary and imperative purpose of each game is to be fun and attractive to all players, whatever the chosen role. I tried in various ways to promote concord in the debates, opening appropriate threads on "toxicity" and the "hatch issue", that is the themes most felt by the community, but I noticed with sadness and disappointment that for some people it is difficult to put themselves in the adversaries' shoes and to smooth out the preconceived acrimony and hostility with which they examine the unwelcome proposals, so I humbly beg the developers (@not_Queen @Patricia @Peanits @Suggestive and others I don't know which nickname they have) to introduce the following offering to instill awareness and restore peace.
CAOTIC JUSTICE (killer's and survivors' very rare offering). Address your prayers to the Entity for revealing to the opponents the difficulties and sufferings of your role. In the next trial, the killer and a survivor, chosen randomly among those who have not entered the lobby in SWF mode, will play one in the other's shoes, using their perks, power/item and add-ons and gaining bloodpoints and emblems according to the new role. If the chosen survivor or the killer outrages the Entity by disconnecting, the Entity will punish them with the loss of a whole rank. Secret.

There is no war between "killer mains" and "survivor mains". It's literally just a difference between players who are putting forward uninformed opinions and those who are informed. People throw these terms around just because someone disagrees with them. Unless you play both sides at high rank I don't think an opinion has very much substance behind it.

Rightttt. I've had rank 1 on both sides for years and probably have more hours than you and a few of your friends combined, youngin.

People who play both sides on high ranks know exactly what's wrong and what needs to be changed AND they look at how changes will affect BOTH sides experience.
Example: some people would like to increase gens repair time, but they don't really care about how cool it is to stare at a gen for 80 seconds.
Another one: some people would like Nurse nerfed to the ground, but they don't really care how painful it already is to play the Nurse and how hard it is to keep track of survivours in a chase.Unfortunately, these people appear to post more and be louder, so it looks like there's a war when there's not.

Why exclude SWF? That would even further encourage people to do SWF.
Because if one of the team member became the killer, they'd help their friends and a public and classified trial would become like KYF.0 -
Well while I understand what your saying, I think you might want to edit in a short and simple version of your post. Back on topic I really don't think anyone would actually want this as this offering would just be annoying. There is a reason why you can chose your side. This would also be highly exploitable since you can equip bad perks on purpose and waste the killers add-ons that they wanted to use. If anything this would just make the entire player base even more toxic especially when this offering comes into play due to the amount of trolling it can do.
Edit: almost forgot that this would be easy as hell to be used as farming since you don't need to be in a swf group to inv random players to a chat(example Xbox party invites) so this would just not work in dbd as it again would be too exploitable.0 -
I need a TL;DR1

Did you think about this for more than five seconds? Players will just equip bad or no perks, items, or add-ons and troll the other player. The playerbase would become even more toxic than it already is. This would also screw with the ranks because people would instantly disconnect to derank quicker, meaning that the queue times for high ranks will increase again.0

Hello @Entità !
Dead by Daylight has always been a game that is proud to offer choices to their player.
The choice of the role a player wants to take on, the choice of the loadout they want to play. That said, we are trying to encourage players to try other roles and challenge themselves through daily rituals or events for example. Introducing something like you are suggesting would force unwanting players in a role / loadout, which isn't something we want to do.2 -
@AChaoticKiller @SnakeSound222 Wait, how could someone decide to equip bad perks, items and add-ons, since the offers are burned after the lobby countdown?Who is the target of Caotic Justice is interested in playing the best: he uses the opponent's equipment, but the outcome of the game affects his own rank and score.@not_Queen Thanks for your kind attention and explanation.
