Hag needs a rework
Insanely boring to play against and as
Shes just a camper, a lot of hags i go against camps and spams traps at hooks and god forbid if you're in basement. Very unfun killer, needs a rework and her playstyle makes me want to vomit.
And the ones that don't camp/spam traps (very rare), there's no real counterplay.

I mean I hate her play style too but there are people that love her play style so it’s not a good idea to completely change the way she plays. We can make it where she can’t place traps around the hook though.

She's just a specific play style that some people will love and some will hate. Not really much to be changed.

The thing is Hag is actually a really easy killer to counter, the thing is you only learn when you alrready have 4k hours in this game because she's so rare. Hag is my second most played killer and the only thing you need to do is mess around with her. Don't sit on gens, pressure her: if she sets a web you guys are probably doomed. If you're solo Qing be the one that messes around with her and let your team sit on gens especially if you're decent at looping because of Hag's slow movement speed.

Awhile back the Devs talked about giving survivors a way to wipe away her traps.
1 -
That's called flashlights.
3 -
I’m not sure what you can do really. Having a killer hard countered by an item is kinda dumb
1 -
She's fine. She has counters that people just choose to not utilize enough. (Flashlights, crouching, etc)

Tbh I just wish there was a way to disarm traps by default, I don't think being able to just rub the ground where her trap is would make her weak.

The issue is that a Killer's power shouldn't be hard countered by an item.
1 -
Tbh it would. Assuming traps work similar to how they do now, she would lose her traps, not get a notification she lost a trap, and survivors could just continuously do it over and over.
It would make her trap game the worst of all trap killers honestly. She already has one of the easiest ways to counter her traps. If they just made it a general ability survivors could do she would become one of the worst killers since all she has going for her are traps and if survivors can remove them risk free she would be steamrolled.
Trapper would have better traps than her and that's saying a lot. His at least let you know they are disarmed, can hurt survivors disarming them, and can be rearmed.

It'll never happen unfortunately 😥

She needs to have the same treatment as PH where she can't put traps x meters away from a hook. This will remove the camping part of her. Any good hag player would be fine with that change.

And Crouching.
So many people just don't seem to understand that when you're up against a Hag... you Crouch when approaching hooks, and keep crouching until you get away from the hook area. I can't tell you how many times I've crouched up to the hook to get a rescue only to have the idiot I just unhooked not take the hint and start sprinting away, or how often when I've been hooked, and my teammates just run right up and trigger the trap.
The Hook camping traps are avoidable people! Either use a flashlight to disarm it or Just Crouch!

Except for 1-2 very tiny things she is completely fine.
She is rewarding to play, interactive and has enough + healthy counterplay, she brings a different playstyle to the table for both sides and she is the only killer that is truly strategic.

Uh... No!
Flashlights, Crouching, BT, Deadhard & bodyblocking.
Congrats you just countered her.
Stop nerfing a killer because you're bad a playing against them instead of trying to understand and get better against them.
This game will be boring af if you gotta nerf a good killer just so you can have fun.
She's good but not played alot. So statistically speaking shouldn't Nurse get a buff then?
Because she's not played alot and she loses alot... But we know she's the best killer.
Just cause you had a frustrating game shouldn't be you crying for a change because you want a easier game.

I enjoy playing as Hag and have no problem going against them either. the argument "boring to play as" has no real meaning anymore cause it's all personal preference.
Hag requires map knowledge, strategy, knowing how and where to create a web of traps. There is a lot of depth with her besides mindless "trap spamming"

agreed

*stares at trapper*

She would be completely neutered by SWF if they did this. One person would follow her around the map disarming her traps and as a 110% killer she would have absolutely nothing else. At least Trapper can play machete man if survivors call out his traps, Hag would be even more painful to play than that.

As much as I hate Hag, you're wrong.

They should just remove her ability to place traps near downed survivors and hooked survivors. Discourages her camping playstyle.

get good

Without one.

She truly does. I think the whole trapping hooks is probably what most people are concerned with. It becomes problematic when you crouch save but the hag still returns to hook forcing you to run but triggering the trap. It's kinda like well were ######### either way.
I also hate how the screen auto aims when you set off a trap. I've had this ######### up easy saves. Sometimes I purposefully want to set off the trap and vault away but the auto-aim snaps you away. As if the hag bursting out of the ground isn't obvious enough.

- Don't allow the Hag to set up, as soon as you identify her you have to immediately move to disrupt her establishing a 3-gen web. Unlike other killers, a Hag does not really want to deal with you directly. The first few minutes are drastically critical, which is often why Hag players run Corrupt Intervention. (For me, this perk is the hallmark of a mid-level skilled Hag, normally a high skilled Hag won't need it and a low skilled one won't have it.)
- Manage Hag's inability to teleport effectively. Most of the time a Hag player chooses to create a network of traps, which means they are often very close together. That also means when they are carrying someone to a hook you can easily destroy half or more of her traps which the Hag player either has to sacrifice or waste time replacing.
- If you know where the trap is, rotate your camera to face it. It will reduce the time the game controls your camera to look at the trap. It is also less disorientating as a player.
- Learn the trigger distance - traps are basically worthless once you know where they are, and it'll prevent her from placing new ones without destroying the oldest ones which are often the most important to maintaining a Hag's web.
- Crouch to prevent traps from going off. When unhooking/being unhooked its worth taking the time to crouch to walk past the traps, its better that she wastes the time walking back to you than teleporting instantly. (Assuming she even heads back to the hook.) Furthermore you can do actions from crouching without triggering a trap, like repairing a generator or unhooking.
- Use abnormal pathing, a Hag will normally set up traps in the /most likely/ places survivors will path to get where they need to be.
- Take advantage of the disorientation when teleporting, a Hag player's perspective matches their trap's perspective. So you know exactly where their FOV will be.
- Use a flashlight.
Just so you know, a Hag that excessively traps a hook is clearly telling you that they are not comfortable with their Hag/killer gameplay and have to rely on crutch playstyles like that. (Or clearly telegraphing they are using Scarred Hand for some weird meme-y reason.) So maybe don't take it so hard when you notice it, we are all out here trying to have fun/get better.
