Why is the Coldwin map daytime? Doesn't that ruin the lore, and why just this map? Yes, it looks good but it's just too bright

I do think it is a little bright. Maybe some very very faint entity claws around the sun to show that it's just a construct?

They've been brightening maps in general with the reworks (other than Badham), guessing to make hiding in plain sight less effective. I think it looks really nice, even if it is a little strange to have a straight-up daytime map.

I think its to compensate for console players always having to play on high/ultra settings where PC players can cheat a lot of the shadows by dropping the quality to low. Honestly they should just add the same quality slider to consoles at this point.

We have one daytime map like 2 years lol. Called "Ormond".
New Coldwind maps look not usual as before but tbh the result of visual work is great.

What I don't understand is how that relates to my point about Dead Dawg.
You said it might as well be called Dead By Sunset. Dead Dawg is set during sunset, which is where my "try again" point comes into play.

Aesthetically, it's supposed to be a very bleak sunlight-esque look (it's really hard to describe, think like the aesthetic of those zombie shows that take place during the day).
Obviously the devs were trying to make coldwind an op map, everybody's dead by daylight so just spawning in on coldwind kills everybody, I don't see what's so hard to get.
