Nerf Tanatofobia or tell me how to counter it... i wait. :)

Heal? If you don’t want to do that then just power through it’s minimal slowdown
6 -
And what about a Legion? :)
0 -
or even a plague?

English please

The max slowdown it can do is 20%, and that's only if all four Survivors are injured (in which case you have bigger issues to worry about).
Not a big deal.

Hold M1 on a generator for 20 extra seconds. If they have ruin, cleanse it first. It's annoying but it has counters.
Cleanse in places that are bad for her. Done a generator? Cleanse in that area and the fountain is basically dead. Only cleanse in good places when it's the last few fountains because then it forces her to have her power when she doesn't want it and removes all fountains.

It's not that overwhelming, max 16 extra seconds of gentime, and that is if all survivors are wounded the whole time. That is not game breaking.
Counters: Resilience, toolboxes, heal, power through, cooperative repairing. Probably more.

It's 20 seconds tbf
0 -
Do a gen. It's 16 extra seconds max.
If you don't like that, then heal.
0 -
Really? Then I've missed something. Isn't it 5% for each injured survivor?
Anyway, still not too much IMO.
1 -
I'm fairly certain that .20 times 80 is 16.
1 -
You heal... done. Easy.
Legion? Okay, an extra 20 secs at most. Noticeable but you can power through it.
Plague? Same thing. If it's that bad, cleanse in the corners of the map.
1 -
20x5 yes because there is 5 gens... = 100 seconds.. you will still say "not a big deal" but one gen make 80s do be done.. so if its not a big deal why the games take like 20 to 30 minutes to be done?... it should be finish after 400 secs (6minutes)...
0 -
Easy to talk once your in the game... as i know you can't see the killer you play against.. and you can't modify your perks once in game...
0 -
Because you aren't doing gens.
There is no reason a game should take 30 minutes to finish. Thana only adds an extra 64 seconds in total, assuming 4 Survivors stay injured.
I do not intend to sound mean, but I think you need to look at your own play before blaming a perk.

Okay I'm going to get into a bit of maths here.
There are a couple things to know for this:
- Interaction time is measured through calculating the time taken to "put in" the amount of charges an action takes.
- The amount of charges you "put in" each second is measured in charges per second (c/s).
- The amount of charges needed to repair a generator is 80.
So, we have 80 charges which, at base, takes 80 seconds to complete because we put in 1 charge at base.
Thanatophobia reduces the charges we put in by 5% (0.05) for each injured survivor.
With 4 survivors injured, that's a 20% slowdown (0.2). Therefore 0.8 charges are "put in" each second.
80/0.8 = 100

You can heal, power through and team up on gens no matter what Killer it is.
0 -
Hmmm, so it's calculated on charges instead of by seconds?
0 -
Yeah. There's a post by Orion which explains it better that I link to in this thread in the first reply.

Legion's inherent slowdown is mainly why as you're forced to mend for 12 seconds so legion getting multiple hits off on you're team takes a lot of time.
As for thana its main weakness is that its less effective on generators that are already worked on.
It might be up to 16 seconds per generator but if 4 of the generators are half done thana at full power will only slow their completion down by 8 seconds.
So the time it takes for everyone to get injured also reduces thana's effectiveness on everything but the very last generator;Which might still have completion on it before full power so it may never be at full effectiveness on any generator.

Hmmm, I might prefer it based on seconds just to make the numbers easier lol
0 -
Yeua it'd be nicer but no dbd maths

Healing against a legion is very useless you will spend more time healing than doing gens
0 -
Indeed.
Thanks, I did not know this.

Can i get the same results like this:
20% slowdown means that after 80 sec (100% without slowdown) a gen is only 80% done. So 20 sec is left for the last 20%. Its easier to calculate for me, but did i make a mistake?
0 -
Correct.
Guess you'll have to spend a whole 100 extra seconds on a gen.
0 -
honestly i dont know
0 -
Run resilience
0 -
Heal if you can, if it's a Plague then cleanse (but do it near completed gens, or other places the killer doesn't like to be)
If it's a Legion, then power through the slowdown.
Or run resilience
0 -
To echo a bunch of other answers heal you ding bat
0 -
Ok. I guess i will hope its correct. Your way is too complicated for me.
0 -
run perks like resilience so the effects of tanatophobia will be less noticeable. usually you should try staying healthy. if you want a perk that works like a reverse tanatophobia for survivors then try out desperate measures.
0 -
TANATOFOBIA
I love it
0 -
even if you have all 4 injured the debuff is not even that great. 16 more seconds to do a gen ( if all 4 are injured ) and assuming you're soloing that genny.
guys play the game more trust me thanta is the last perk you will complain about
0 -
The Game starts. Legion finds one chases the guy until hooked. in the meantime 3 Gens are popping. And if you are in a group spit apart.
0 -
Since when legion chase one single guy till hook? lol they ALWAYS hit like 2-3 survs minimum.
0 -
I don't know if you play killer. I had a lot of games where I found 1 surv and i had to chase him. The standard duration of the Power is super low. And they don't ALWAYS hit 3or4 survs. Be realistic.
0 -
This almost never happens. It is almost impossible to injure every survivor before the first or even the first 2 gens pop. Of course there are some matches, where i 4 or 5 gen 4k, but Thanatophobia never is the reason.
