The Legion- Power Rework
overview:
Hey! I'm GoodBoyKaru, and this rework of the Legion's kit was made in combination with @TurboTOne! He came up with most of the ideas, I just did a bit of tweaking and proof-reading. If there are any grammatical errors, it's all my fault.
Okay so the goal of this rework was to make Legion's kit more skillful and also make them stronger. The power, add-ons, and even interactions with cosmetics were all considered.
power:
All 4 Legion members spawn in a trial, 3 of which spawn inside random lockers. These spawns are dictated by splitting the map into 4 quaters, and assigning one member to each quater. You will start the trial as whichever Legion member
the currently equipped mask belongs to. If no lockers can be found, the search area will expand until a vacant locker can be found.
A Legion member cannot be placed inside a locker adjacent to another.
Each Legion member has a unique power.
FRANK: FERAL FRENZY-
Press M2 to activate Feral Frenzy. While in Feral Frenzy, each hit will apply the Deep Wounds status effect on survivors. After hitting one survivor while using Feral Frenzy, each survivor that isn't affected by the Deep Wounds status effect will be highlighted with Killer Instinct within a range of 40m.
When your power runs out, you enter a 3 second fatigue. Pressing M2 while Feral Frenzy is active will cause you to cancel your power, and enter a 3 second fatigue. Hitting a survivor who is already affected by the Deep Wounds status effect will cause you to lose your power and enter a 4 second fatigue Missing an attack while Feral Frenzy is active will cause you to lose your power, and enter a 4 second fatigue.
Feral Frenzy lasts for 12 seconds.
During Feral Frenzy your movement speed is increased to 5.4m/s (135%).
Feral Frenzy recovers in 20 seconds.
JOEY: LETHAL FRENZY-
Hold M2 to ready Lethal Frenzy. Relasing M2 will cancel Lethal Frenzy, slowing you to 4.0m/s (100%) for 1 second. You cannot perform actions in this time.
Pressing M1 during Lethal Frenzy will cause you to leap forward and attack at a speed of 8.0m/s (200%) for a maximum distance of 12m. Any survivor hit with Lethal Frenzy will be damaged for one Health State. If a healthy survivor is hit with Lethal Frenzy, it will also apply the Deep Wounds status effect.
Landing a successful hit with Lethal Frenzy will cause you to suffer a 3 second fatigue. Missing Lethal Frenzy or hitting a wall will cause you to suffer a 4 second fatigue.
Running into a pallet or window will cancel Lethal Frenzy and cause you to quickly vault the pallet/window, suffering a 4 second fatigue.
Lethal Frenzy recovers in 20 seconds.
JULIE: FURIOUS FRENZY-
Press M2 to activate Furious Frenzy. While in Furious Frenzy, each hit will apply the Deep Wounds status effect on survivors. After hitting one survivor while using Furious Frenzy, each survivor that isn't affected by the Deep Wounds status effect will be highlighted with Killer Instinct within a range of 40m.
When your power runs out, you enter a 3 second fatigue. Pressing M2 while Furious Frenzy is active will cause you to cancel your power, and enter a 3 second fatigue. Hitting a survivor who is already affected by the Deep Wounds status effect will cause you to lose your power and enter a 4 second fatigue. Missing an attack while Furious Frenzy is active will cause you to lose your power, and enter a 4 second fatigue.
Furious Frenzy lasts for 8 seconds.
During Furious Frenzy your movement speed is increased to 6.0m/s (150%).
Furious Frenzy recovers in 20 seconds.
SUSIE: SILENT FRENZY-
Press M2 to active Silent Frenzy. While in Silent Frenzy, you gain the Undetectable status effect. While in Silent Frenzy, each hit will apply the Deep Wounds status effect on survivors. After hitting one survivor while using Silent Frenzy, each survivor within 20m that isn't affected by the Deep Wounds status effect has their auras revealed for 5 seconds.
Hitting a survivor who is already affected by the Deep Wounds status effect will cause you to lose your power and enter a 4 second fatigue. When your power runs out, you enter a 3 second fatigue. Pressing M2 while Silent Frenzy is active will cause you to cancel your power, and enter a 3 second fatigue.
Silent Frenzy lasts for 12 seconds.
During Silent Frenzy, your movement speed is increased to 5.0m/s (125%).
Silent Frenzy recovers in 20 seconds.
secondary power:
Activate your Secondary Power by pressing the Active Ability Button (Control) when searching an empty locker.
Entering the locker allows you to select the Legion member you wish to now control by aiming your camera at the Legion member. The selected member is highlighted with an arrow above their head. Pressing the Active Ability Button again will cause you to switch places with the selected Legion member, having them jump out of the locker. Full player control is immidiately given to this member.
Press the Interaction button while inside of a Locker to leave the locker.
Any locker that has been left becomes unusable for future transport, made clear with a large cross over the doors.
If a survivor opens a locker with a Legion member inside, they are grabbed and held inside for 10 seconds. The Legion gets a noise notification for this, and when selecting which Legion Member to change control to, they are highlighted.
If the Legion switches to the member holding a survivor, they are immidiately grabbed onto the Legion's shoulder.
If the Legion fails to switch in time, the survivor is released from the locker without harm, and the Legion member will return to the locker, slowly closing the door behind them.
ADD-ONS:
Fuming Mixtape [UR]: After exiting a locker, you see the Aura of every survivor for 8 seconds.

Wow this a Great Idea. Whoever came up with it must be pretty Smard (:

this is why you employ me to proof read

Wait, so Frank and Susie have the same power?
Otherwise, I think this is a good concept, however Lethal Frenzy sounds like a scaled-down version of Blight (the division of 3 separate powers compensates for this). Also, I'd add that during Silent Frenzy Susie loses that pesky loud breathing. I also don't really like how you'd have to swerve your camera around to locate the auras and waste the little time you do have.
3 -
I honestly love this idea.
The main issue I see here is that Julie's Furious Frenzy is way, way too similar to Frank's Feral Frenzy. It's just the same thing with a numbers tweak.
Also, how would cosmetics work? Would you have four different sets of cosmetics equipped at once? Would you only get to customize one member?
2 -
You mean Frank and Julie ? cause Susies kinda different though. Also what do you mean by swerve Camera around losing time ?
3 -
Frank and Susie
I think you mean Frank and Julie., and not technically. The same concept yes, as they're dating, but there are differences. Julie moves faster (150% vs 135%) for less time (8 seconds vs 12 seconds), meaning Frank travels further but Julie does it faster.
I also don't really like how you'd have to swerve your camera around to locate the auras and waste the little time you do have.
I feel like swerving your camera around a bit is kinda made up for with the fact you can do a cross-map teleport.

There would be 2 Additional Masks Added One for Joey and One for Susie that would be given out to every Player. And for Cosmetics you would just have the Cosmetic ingame that you had last equipped with this Character. For example: You put on a Susie Cosmetic and switch over to a Joey One, the Susie cosmetic you had on earlier will be the One you can play with in the next Trial.

As they're dating, we thought that it should work in a really similar way. In their lore, they're similar to each other, so their powers should also be similar, ya know?
Julie's is better for when people are more spread out, due to being able to move faster, while Frank's would be better if they were already close together as you can use the longer duration to chain more hits (and get more value out of SWS nudge nudge wink wink). Like I said in the overview, we wanted to raise the skill cap to Legion.
I think we may have succeeded. Maybe.

I think me and a lot of other people really wanted Legion to be similiar to the Twins (Being able to pressure multiple places at once basically).
However, your idea for a new Legion power seems waaay to complicated to me.
Like, the text that would explain the power would probably cover the entire screen
Also, Silent and Furious Frenzy are way too similiar to Feral Frenzy to the point that you might as well just make them addons for current Legion.
Lethal Frenzy is just a bad/potentially more punishing Demo shred.
Stab Wound Study and Smiley Face Pin seems like a more or less interesting idea
Stolen Sketchbook sounds too strong (1 bad player could pretty throw the entire game depending on the situation).
The rest of the addons are rather ok or pretty meh
1 -
Ah. Didn't think about that.
But it's still kind of an issue. Not much, but it still exists.
1 -
I want.
2 -
Me too :)

Imagine just opening a locker and seeing Joey sitting there like a dweet

Imagine just seeing a Dweet going to a Locker to Hide and just getting grabbed xD

I'm not sure it would though, because it wouldn't go into the specifics. It wouldn't say that you move at 135% movement speed and you suffer a fatigue of 4 seconds if you miss a swing, it'd just be "Your movement speed is increased/You suffer from a fatigue."
Also, Silent and Furious Frenzy are way too similiar to Feral Frenzy to the point that you might as well just make them addons for current Legion.
Silent I disagree with, but Furious I can kinda see? But at the same time, having it like this kinda provides diversity + raises the skillcap.
Lethal Frenzy is just a bad/potentially more punishing Demo shred.
In my defence I wanted him to have no fatigue if he vaulted a pallet or window but Turbo thought that may be a smidge too OP. Any thoughts on how to improve it, though?
Stolen Sketchbook sounds too strong (1 bad player could pretty throw the entire game depending on the situation).
Say Frank/Julie/Susie stab 3 people with their power (since there's no way it'd work on Joey). By the time they've hit a survivor, cancelled, caught up, and downed the survivor the first two survivors would've/should've mended. So, I don't think it'd be too bullshit OP, unless it's a joyous 3gen, at which point that's kinda their fault to begin with.

No thats not how you're suposed to play the Game xD
2 -
Joey just grabs the poor baby Dweet and the chorus of e-girls are ruining my life by Corpse plays in the background
1 -
Sounds great. I'll almost never switch Legion members mid trial, but it'd be cool to see.
1 -
i mean, yeah, at worst it's just 3 new characters who happen to share add-ons lol
0 -
that was a typo, I'm terrible at typing.
1 -
honestly mood
1 -
Yes, I meant Julie.
I meant you'd have to swerve your camera because it reveals auras ONLY, and not killer instinct. That would waste time since you only have 12 seconds in Silent Frenzy.
1 -
oh- i thought you meant when changing killers lmao
yeah the point of SF is to be a whole lot stealthier, but having constant location when youre undetectable seemed kinda-not-ok imo so i
forcedconvinced turbo to change it0 -
I understand why it's there but I personally think survivors screaming would work slightly better.
