Devs great job on Coldwind!!!!
I don't care how many breakable walls there are if you allowed me to actually see the survivors and it's awesome. Thank you devs now please do the Swamp.

Meanwhile this is me when I'm playing on Coldwind

I hope and pray the next map to get updated is the Swamp. No matter which side I play on it always screws me over, I can't wait to see it made playable.

I surprisingly actually like it as well. It looks great! I just hope I can get used to seeing in the new corn. I swear I've got corn blindness all over again.

The swamp desperately needs a rework, it’s so unpleasant to look at and disgustingly dark.
1 -
And please fix the main building of Grim Pantry. It's impossible to hook anyone if you down someone in there.
3 -
2.2k hours and I still get lost in that building...
4 -
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I have an easier time seeing things and finding my way around the Swamp.
Coldwind's just become my least favorite map. I don't know what it is, but it's just visually overloading and it feels gigantic. It's beautiful and I love the detail, but I'm having a horrible time playing killer on it.
6 -
And pray someone doesn't know how to run it.

With how bright it is now it literally actually hurts my eyes and gives me a headache. I don't know what it is about coldwind now, and I really hated the old coldwind loops, but I just can't stand new coldwind at all.

The downstairs always confuses me more than upstairs lol.

The main reason to you getting lost, is because there are seperate tiles inside that building, proof of that is that the corner pallet is sometimes aligned with the long wall pallet, and other times the corner pallet is on the opposite side.
I think the Grim Pantry main building is the only building that has random tiles within the building itself. Even Mothers Dwelling has more predictable windows.

That is just because it is new and just different enough that your muscle memory of locations hasn't adjusted yet. Give it a week.

I just can't see totems to save my damn life...
Small Game doesn't help cause they're the same color as the corn.
Detective's Hunch doesn't help because red auras are invisible on that map.
1 -
I might stand alone on this one, but I don't like new Coldwind at all. I would much rather play Swamp all day long.
4 -
Did you catch something?
2 -
The only thing I dislike about the new Coldwind is that it is way too bright. I get a headache every time I have to play on that map.
2 -
This maybe if you play on LOW with brightest turned up because on Ultra and without nvidia filter looks alright at least on my end. I love swamp and can't wait to see what they will do to it. Hag going to have a new home, this and new haddonfield is going to be dope.

Sounds crazy, doesn't it? But I just don't like that brightness, I don't like that daylight. It doesn't feel scary, it doesn't feel like DBD.
It doesn't feel right.
Swamp in the other hand has its issues, no one is crazy enough to deny it, but at least it has that eerie feeling that most reworked maps have lost. Swamp feels like DBD.

Poor ghostface, I'm sure it's pure hell to play him on this map even more than before.

I've always had trouble with thick underbrush and it's relatively easy for survivors to lose me. Old corn wasn't that big of an issue. New corn is impenetrable and I can't see anything in it; my only hope is that survivors don't get out of earshot and I can track them by sound. I can barely see scratch marks through it because it's so bright. I also have trouble seeing hook auras and I've had a few wiggle outs because I just can't discern the nearest aura from the ambient orangeness of the map until it's too late. The brightness also makes it hard for me to see hex totems? They look almost the same as dull totems because the flames don't stand out. You have to see the pool of blackness at the base or hear the crackling. I can't be the only one affected by this, because my hexes have been lasting ages on these maps despite being in high traffic areas.
The maps themselves, I'll learn, but I am not liking the brightness level at all. Ormond's fine - it's easy to see everything against the white (scratch marks are a little faint, but it's okay) and it's not too bright, it's just not dark either. Coldwind is harsh and getting sent there every other game isn't endearing me to it at all.
The only plus side I can see is that Trapper's traps have good camouflage here.

Nope, I agree.
The new Coldwind just feels so much more survivor sided. All of the main buildings were buffed, the generic tiles feel longer and weirder to navigate, the corn feels thicker, and the sun is so bright that it sometimes hurts my eyes. Not to mention, just like most other reworks, the new objects have janky collision, making Blight harder to play.

I prefer darker more spooky maps... however the new Cold Wind is stunning and I think the daylight is a nice addition to the map roster! I rather have variety then the same old thing over and over. Good job bhvr map team ^^
I hope the swamp is next and they make it extra spooky. Please keep the fireflies.

Oh, glad to see that you agree, my friend.
And I agree with what you've said. I had not mentioned them because ambience > balance, in my opinion. However, some of those maps are really insane now. Fractured CowHell has a room with 2 breakable walls, which is frustrating by itself.

SAME
New Coldwind feels so damn BRIGHT.
I really don't like it honestly. The brightness level before its rework was way better.

It's not just you bud. I finally got the map in my final game tonight I was using plague and had a god-awful Time. I felt that the map was huge and I couldn't see s***. Could not see my barbecue or as at all so that Perk was literally just for the blood points which let's be honest is why I use it anyway but still the point. The corn as tall as s*** so easy to lose survivors through it. Left the game happy I only got at one time tonight. As of right now I would rather play on Haddonfield.

Cold win as always Been survivor sided but this is just horrible. The new Harvester is weird best way to describe it. I'll have to watch a video on that seems like it's back to the old way where they can vault back and forth and there's nothing you can do. Hopefully I'm wrong on that ill investigate that one for sure.

Dude I can't with new coldwind. I'd rather have a map where it's so dark I can't see anything compared to coldwind. When it gets bright in my room and add coldwind to it. My god it feels like I'm dying.
0 -
Because it is gigantic. 25 seconds to walk from one edge to the other.
0 -
Yep, they nerfed harvester. It is possible to hop onto the hay bales but it is extremely inconsistent and very obvious you are doing it.

Coldwin looks pretty good in my opinion.
