Should have been the opposite - a buff of some kind (letting the survivor see the Killer's aura, or a speed buff, etc).
Finding the glyphs isn't easy, and can put the survivor in a precarious, dangerous position to stand there during the "communing," so the result shouldn't have been an additional debuff that potentially screws the player. It should have been the opposite.

See it as challenge.. Sometimes you spawn right next to the Glyph sometimes not. I thnik they did good You need to risk something to get your reward

You already have the risk and the challenge - spending time looking for it and grabbing it. They didn't need to add more risk/challenge on top of that.
