michael myers is outdated?

hi there,

i loved playing michael myers on DBD (stopped playing pre twins, started recently but my laptop cant run DBD bc of ram shortage) but coming back to the game ive seen people call him outdated. how come? i understand his add ons could do with some practicality tuning (i personally find the movement while stalking addons not that good) but his power seems fine. can someone explain to me how michael myers is outdated? any and all help is appreciated.

    Myers is a fairly week killer because of power creep. He was never really nerfed, but just out classed by others over time.

    His power is outdated because it's needlessly clunky. Why do survivors run out of stalk? Why does his power level up automatically instead of hitting a button like Oni? Why does Tier 1 harm him more than it helps? Things like that. not to mention he needs an add-on pass.

    He's not bad it's just everything around him got better more killers with 1 shots better stealth quicker starts to matches more versatile killers

    Myers is the final Killer in the game with incorrect add-on rarity distribution (3 common, 6 uncommon).

    Also, I believe he has some of the worst add-ons in the game.

    • 5 hair add-ons that all do roughly the same thing (increase stalk time, increase Tier 3 duration), only 2 of them are worth using.
    • The add-ons that increase movement speed while stalking are wasted slots.
    • The Glass Fragment add-on that gives aura reading only at Tier 1, which means it becomes useless ~30 seconds into a match.
    • Vanity Mirror.
    • Tombstone Piece is just straight up broken.
    • Boyfriend's Memo is only used with Scratched Mirror, is useless otherwise.

    The only Killer that really beats Myers is Ghostface, because Ghostface only has 3 add-ons worth using.

    He's one of those killers that they very likely would've never made today because his power is so incredibly simple.

    Stalk -> Power up -> Power up again to change some numbers in the code affecting lunge range, window vaults, apply exposed, and terror radius.

    There's nothing visually interesting or unique about his power-up, it's just stronger M1 man. That's why he's outdated.
