Any killer who has a good shot at beating really good 4man survivor team as long as the killer plays extremely well.

From my own biased view I consider Deathslinger quite well balanced, any change to him can either trash him or make him overpowered.

He's a chase specialist that's so good at one thing that he needs disadvantages at everything else which balances him out. Amazing slinger can beat even the best of survivor teams while bad one can be looped for 5 gens. That's a well balanced killer in my eyes.

It's hard to generally answer that considering all killers besides nurse and spirit are map dependant. Assuming its coal tower, for example, with balanced rng? Then blight.

    Spirit /s

I’d say my top 5 would be

    1. Oni has counterplay even when in his power but is powerful enough to where he can win most games
    2. Blight is very balanced anc counters holding W but his exploits and add ons are kinda annoying
    3. Huntress besides hitboxes is perfect. Not sure about those flight speed add ons aswell
    4. Billy needs a few buffs but is otherwise perfect.
    5. Wraith needs some of his add ons changed around but is great now

Blight, can be countered if you know what you’re doing but is still very capable of beating even 4 man swf consistently

  • Member Posts: 2,923

Honestly I would say the same. Blight is strong and feels powerful but at the same time as a survivor it doesnt feel like you are just gonna lose the second its a blight

  • Member Posts: 955

    Spirit

  • Member Posts: 2,923

Really a lot of people tihnk of him to be quite weak. What makes you say trickster

  • Member Posts: 3,398

Oni without topknot is probably the perfect example of what a killer should be balance-wise imo.

I would say Blight too, but he can still 180 around things, removing his one and only significant counter which is small loops, and his add-ons are pretty absurd.

  • Member Posts: 156

I would have said blight, but with all the Z flick shenanigans, his balance is now out into question.

At this point Oni is truly the most balanced

  • Member Posts: 148

    oni blight and nurse

  • Member Posts: 8,814

Oni, Blight, Plague, Wraith, Huntress, Billy. In that order.

  • Member Posts: 14,229

    Spirit

  • Member Posts: 8,650

    Blight

  • Member Posts: 10,917

It’s a toss up between Billy and Blight. Billy because he is still as strong as he was if you are good with Billy. He’s got one of the highest skill ceilings in the game and has reasonable counterplay for both sides. Blight too as he is a very strong killer, probably in the same tier as Nurse and Spirit, but unlike those two, he has counterplay.

  • Member Posts: 1,080

    Huntress, Billy or Oni.

  • Member Posts: 2,203

I agree. Oni and Blight are the most balanced to me too.

I love being against them. I also like to play Oni, even if his power is still a bit hard to use for me.

Nurse, Oni, Deathslinger and Blight. All take skill to play.

I'm sure a lot of survivor mains will argue with me but I say Nurse. My reason being is her high skill ceiling. Yes she breaks the game when played at god tier but that person practiced their ass off to get to that lvl. Your not going to pick up Nurse and start 4king actual red survivors. IMO the majority of people who complain about Nurse actually suck at the game. ALL they know how to do is loop and when that 1 trick doesn't work they scream OP! Good survivors know she is really strong but she can still be beaten. You need to put a lot of time into her to get that good. I think of Nurse as a good Widowmaker player in overwatch. In that game unless your really good at sniping you are almost dead weight for your team. If you put that many hours into that character you deserve your spot.

    Oni

S tier in blood fury, D tier without, so bang in the middle imo. Ghostface could be a contender for most balanced. Power is strong but fragile, and he's abuseable.

  • Member Posts: 5,279

    Oni, PH, Plague

  • Member Posts: 3,289

    Old Billy

  • Member Posts: 2,719

In my experience, Huntress. I rarely play against one who's bad, but I also rarely feel like I have no chance against her. My dodge rate against her hatchets is pretty high but I've certainly taken some wonky hits.

I see a lot of people say Oni. I wish more people would play him, I like him but hardly ever see him at all.

  • Member Posts: 2,923

I dont agree with this simply because something being hard to play doesnt mean its balanced. If there was some super complex puzzle that would have to be extremely precise but made whoever did it instantly win would be bs, Just because something is hard to do doesnt mean its fair and thats my opinion on Nurse.

  • Member Posts: 5,295

So someone who practiced a lot at something shouldn't be good at it? Should we make Wayne Brady play football with 1 arm tied behind his back to give other quarterbacks a better chance?

  • Member Posts: 11

I disagree, deathslinger is on the more brainless side of the spectrum. You can quickscope and if the survivor doesn’t dodge you can shoot, reel, and get a hit, if you don’t shoot the survivor dodges for no reason and loses distance

  • Member Posts: 3,144

    I guess Huntress or Billy.

  • Member Posts: 9,831

Quickscoping does take skill to pull off.

Also all survivors lose distance against every Killer (except nurse) if the killer doesn't use their power because Killers move faster than survivors.

You can not like facing Deathslinger, but he's far from a brainless killer.

I have played Nurse since 2016, you literally break line of sight with nurse and you literally make it a guessing game, if your staring behind you and turn a corner you are obviously going to double back, holding W works half the time if you just keep going behind objects, its 100% a skill matchup. With the amount of bugs she has, I literally had to play with one blink for half of my game for the last one I played because of blink bug, don't even get me started with the amount of abusable deadzones. Counterplay does exist.

  • Member Posts: 352

Old Billy without Tuning Guide/insta saw.

Now is the most "balanced" killer in the sense that anyone who's good at survivor can loop him for days

  • Member Posts: 689

    I think doctor is perfect

  • Member Posts: 2,512

I always wonder about the answers. One thing is that counterplay has nothing to do with balanced. The other is that you need to say for which skill level balanced.

Normally i would assume we take the best players, so i would say nurse/spirit. But what is allowed? Iridescent addons? Survivor with keys or BNP? What i want to say is that its not that easy to say who is the most balanced.

that doesnt make him balanced at all

people think billy is balanced because you can loop him for 2 minutes

yes, he has a VERY fun chase to go against, objectively THE most fun, but he's not balanced because his chasing power is dogshit. that means he's unbalanced, and not in a way that benefits him.

if this game were a 1v1, he would easily be the most well designed killer to touch this game. but it's not.

  • Member Posts: 998

    Nea.

She's clearly evil, and extremely terrifying.

That said she usually dies in each game I have her in, so it balances itself out really.

  • Member Posts: 1,088

    The Spirit ^^

  • Member Posts: 1,088

Bro, I got a nostalgic attack when I read your comment ...

    Rip Billy :(

  • Member Posts: 6,025

Oni without Topknot, Blight, Bubba, and Old Billy without instasaw add-ons.

  • Member Posts: 504

I don't play Killer often at all so my perspective is obviously skewed but I really like playing against a high skill Huntress or Trapper. Both require some mind games to counter and can really demolish Survivors if you're not paired with a team who is observant and clever.

This is using the game design mindset of 2 hooked 2 escaped. Though against either of these Killers who play well it's usually no escapes or just one in my experience. 😊

  • Member Posts: 352

I was joking on the fact that people still put Billy among the most fun killers to play against but now he's fun only for survivors, not to play as.

  • Member Posts: 1,839

a lot of people tihnk of him to be quite weak

Pretty sure that was the joke.

  • Member Posts: 304

any killer you put enough time in to learn to use their power most efficiently

  • Member Posts: 305

a new and good matchmaking, neither killer is too strong nor survivor

the emblem system is just a joke that is why swf troops kill killers and talk about imbalance, and survivors also scream the imbalance when a good killer comes along ...

  • Member Posts: 1,064

alright i gotcha, couldn't tell. but yeah, 100%. fun 1v1s don't mean a balanced killer lol.

  • Member Posts: 306

spirit is the most balanced killer imo

  • Member Posts: 1,250

    Oni, PH, Demo, Huntress, Hag

Probably some more but those are the ones that come to mind first.

I just have a question to the people that say Oni has counterplay...

How do you counter Oni in a dead zone?

This is just an honest question. I ask because I can think of many killers who I believe have way more counterplay in both dead zones and structured areas. Hillbilly comes to mind.

  • Member Posts: 2,923

The counterplay is to not be in the deadzone in the first place. Thats why they are called dead zones and you want to avoid them. There is no killer that has counterplay in a deadzone. You enter the zone and you are dead.
