The matchmaking 🤦
I'm playing solo mind you, and I'm being paired both with and against people roughly 10 ranks above me. When is this nonsense going to end? If BHVR has no intention of changing anything, then for the love of God put in a custom game option that allows me to play against bots. At least that way I can blow off some steam after being absolutely decimated against people I have no business being paired against.

Why do the colors and your Res look so screwed up in that snapshot you posted?

I'm really hoping that Tuesday they'll announce a new matchmaking system that fixes this crap. Trust me, it's not much more fun for us low level killers facing a full red rank SWF death squad that just toys with you because they can.

I can't say. I'm playing on an 85" TV so perhaps my phone didn't capture the colors properly.

I just recently faced a fresh, Rank 20 Trapper, while I'm at Rank 7. I felt so guilty when I saw the post match scoreboard...

Yeah they announced too that they would be discussing the year 6 road map so I hope that something will be revealed that will fix all this. It's been five years and we still don't even have a practice mode, yet the mobile game got one within a few months of release. WTH?

If it's any consolation, I haven't really played in 6 months... fired it back up yesterday, played a Rank 20 killer vs. 4 purple Survivors.
It's like: "Welcome back. Get ****ed." Not even a freaking mercy match for me to dust the cobwebs off. lol

That's...terrible actually. I've only been playing for little more than a month now and I have to say this matchmaking system just confuses the living hell out of me. Like for the life of me I just can't figure out how any of this makes any kind of sense. I get putting someone up against ranks -maaaaybe- five ranks ahead of you at max, to test your skills and everything. But I've argued this before, how do I learn anything from facing red rank survivor death squads that are just light years above my skill level who just roll over me with relative ease? That's not really fun for anyone.
But yeah here's hoping for good news come Tuesday right?

Jeez, that's rough.
I work all day plus I'm a parent, so my free time is few and far between. The idea of spending what few hours I have out of the day being decimated over and over isn't exactly my idea of fun. I consider myself fortunate just to make it to Green ranks considering how little I get to play, but sadly nothing ever changes. It's just same s***, different day.

Exactly. You can't really learn anything when you're constantly getting steamrolled, especially when you're trying to practice the mechanics of a new killer. DBD is so ridiculously harsh against new and casual players that I'm amazed this game still has the player base it does.

That's exactly how I felt coming in to this. Literally I just learned what slugging actually means this week lol. Before I thought it was a reference to the boxing term "slugging" and thought that it was just the killer endlessly whacking survivors over and over again. Learned that nope, that wasn't what it meant lol. But yeah I can't even run the necessary sweaty builds to even combat some of these times because I don't have all or even a majority of the killer perks unlocked. I want to get good and get better at the game, but that won't happen if I'm just getting destroyed left and right. Same applies the other way when I run in to potato rank survivors too and steamroll them. Those matches ain't fun either.

And your point is...?
I mean. I can mark this post and later on I'll share dozens of screenshots of red ranks being worse.

Just had this game, 15 ranks between me and two of the survivors, what BHVR?
