DS should now have automated skill check

Since the DS has been nerfed to a point where it offers nothing else than the chance to break free when getting tunneled, with the changes of not being able to heal, unhook, etc without losing it - shouldn't now be the best time to finally make the perk automatically perform the break when getting picked up by the killer?

Why take a perk into a game that has a good chance of failing upon missing the skill check for something that offers no other benefit. I take DS into a game so that I can use it, not that I can see myself fail the skill check and get zero value out of the perk that was supposed to save me from getting tunneled.

Simply put, the skill check makes no sense now that the perk has been nerfed to a point that barely anyone even wants to use it anymore.

Hate to break it to you but Killers do the same thing

The skillcheck is only a problem for inexperienced players, it's actually beneficial for veterans since it lets them preserve it for their 2nd hook if they wanted to, maybe to prevent getting tunneled at the end game or to not waste it when someone is going to get a pallet/flashy save on them.

Whether people wanna say it or not the nerfed DS change has made the perk useless and people barely use it. Yes before it was too strong but now its useless. Although this is a small change it could help people use it more. And to all those killers going 'aw do you need your hand to be held' we wouldnt need the perk if people didnt tunnel so often.

Killers would not need to tunnel if gens did not pop like a fat kid with chiclets. (I'm speaking as a fat guy who likes chiclets :P )

Killers basically feel the pressure to kill SOMEONE, and thus reduce Survivor efficiency by 25%, the second a match starts, because 1-3 gens can pop in the first 60 second chase.

So basically anywhere from 1/6th to 3/6ths (Using the 'open exit gates' as the 6th objective) of the Survivors objectives can pop in the time it takes a Killer to get 1/12th (If you subscribe to the 'All Killers should have to 12 hook!' babble) to 1/4 (if he manages to kill every Survivor on first hook) of his own objective.

The time limit is so weighted against Killers that they HAVE to get that first kill ASAP to slow things down. Or they lose within minutes. Their whole weapon is 'Slow that ######### down' while Survivors try to go as fast as possible. They have to create time where none exists at the start, and that means confirming a kill ASAP.

THAT is why Killers tunnel & camp. I mean, oterh than the obvious 'he did it to be a jerk' thing. It's the TACTICAL reasoning behind it.

DS should work on both hooks.

Are you saying DS should work both times a Survivor is hooked? Because hell no.
