Why twice?

This is a post about the stupidly difficult Scourge of the Purge challenge. Once in a blue moon will you get two survivors at once with Plague's red puke. Why then, do we need to do that TWICE to complete this challenge?

"Let's come up with the most unreasonable, unlikely thing in the game, and then make the players do it twice." -The devs when making challenges like these.

If you didn't have to complete this in a single trial, it would be manageable. But this is retardedly difficult. I don't ever want to see challenges this hard in the tomes again. It's not fun at this point. It's just a chore.

It depends, if you are ok with doing a farming game, it might be really easy to finish that. I did so today, I put Iridescent Seal on (so you get corrupt purge when a gen gets done) and signaled the survs to do the gens together. When it was finished, I got corrupt purge and used it on the two that just finished the gen. Since they knew i was farming, they also did not run away, so I get the second double hit just a few secs later.

If you do not want to farm but play properly, the best way might still be Iridescent Seal together with Tinkerer and Discordance. If your tinkerer triggers on a highlighted gen, go there and wait for them to finish the gen, hiding nearby so you can hit them the moment the gen gets finished. Not as reliable as just doing a farming match, but still doable, imo.

Do it at the exit gates. That's how I got it done. Hit two survivors twice, knocking them out of the gate with the second. They were nice enough not to leave until they were downed.

Really badly designed challenge - Its in the survivors control not the killers

So many perk and addon choices can easily get it done. To be honest it's nice to actually have a challenge instead of grind these pallets, gens, hits, unhooks etc.

my strategy was to just play plague until people unhooked right in front me twice while i had corrupt purge. thank you bill for your poorly thought out plays, and sorry nancy. i had to. for the bp.

This challenge really pissed me off. Not only are the circumstances demanded annoying, but the number of times I hit two survivors with Corrupt Purge but only one got injured... it took me longer than it should have to complete the challenge because of that second part. These problems should be fixed before making challenges based on them. Grabs, busted killer powers, it's like the people writing the challenges don't know the goddamn game.

I did it in an endgame because people are more eager to jump on hook saves then. Especially when you hold back as killer during the game and they all have hooks to spare. They're more trade-happy then, but it still took me a couple of games though.

I just had a plague that tried all game to get it. In the end, at one gen left and only two of us were alive, she slugged the other survivor, caught me and took me to him, so i understood what she wanted and she let us go after that 🥰

Your best bet is to hit them at the open door from far away. If I notice the killer is doing this challenge, I usually wait to be hit or even run towards them to make it easier.
