The Killers are immortal and invulnerable to any real harm. The Avengers are not.

A simple stun, nothing more. The Hulk can also be stunned by a hard (surprise) punch to the face, doesn't mean the punch will do him any real harm.

Should have picked something more reasonable to fight them. This is kind of like Ant Man vs an actual ant. Something interesting would have been more like who would win Sam & Dean from supernatural vs The Hag?

Freddy could kill them all. Only Dr. Strange could probably hold up against him. The others their powers won't matter in the dream world.

Outside the realm of the entity the killers simply are only 'above' average in human strenght or about captain americas level, this cannot compare to the superheroes. Especially hulk since hes badly written to be an all curbstomper.
Inside entity the avengers would be reduced to normal humans or slightly above. As with freddy or the battery addons, the entity can mess with supernatural stuff quite well enough.0 -

It is worth mentioning that the OP did say the first Avengers movie so Dr. Strange wasn't around yet. I don't know if Freddy could actually kill the Hulk as he would regenerate any damage. Thor might be able to resist his damage as well since he is a god. But all the human Avengers would be screwed.
