Devs, if you're going to keep overheat for Hillbilly in this game...

Please make overheat more interesting.

As much as I would love overheat to be removed, I'm aware that you folks are hesitant on doing so. Instead, we can make overheat a lot more interesting and fun to play around with.

When you reach the second half of your chainsaw's heat meter, your chainsaw's charge time is reduced by -8%, but your overheat limit is decreased at this point to compensate. When you reach 3/4 of the chainsaw's heat meter, your chainsaw sprint movement speed is increased by 10% (the effects of the previous part remain). Add-ons such as Tuned Carburetor, Engravings, and Mother's Helpers can stack with this, however Mother's Helpers is changed to compensate:

  • Slightly reduces (-4%) Chainsaw Charge time during the [name of the period where Billy's charge speed is faster].

Oh and also please change Engravings to prevent it getting cucked by overheat by increasing the overheat limit to compensate. Anyways, where was I...

Not only does this make overheat more interactive, but it also makes it a risk-reward feature that will make Billy a lot more fun to play as. If Billy gets an add-on pass, I think this would be fun to experiment with!

So what do you think? Personally I think it would increase Billy's skill ceiling by giving him a risk-reward ability.

Getting a speed boost when coming closer to overheat seems interesting. It's like panicking while holding a pot of boiling water. Might also pair nicely with the engravings since you're gonna be revving for longer anyway.

Here's how you make double engravings still possible. Put a maximum cap on how much extra charge time can be added. That or put the words "Extra charge time does not stack" on the Doom Engravings

It's an interesting idea, but I for one would like overheat to be removed.
