About the auto-ban system
No hold up, HOLD UP, HOLD YOUR HORSES.
I know alright, I KNOW, its not out yet, we know nothign about it, its all subject to change etc etc.
I merely want to make a suggestion for it: Would it not be best if the auto-ban system not so much outright bans players (because that is a heavy responsibility for a new system like that) but instead adds a "bad rep" to players and thus matches players with bad rep with others with bad rep, (let the toxic play against the toxic, taste of their own medicine type of deal).
Basically an MMR system as well but for reputation, I would also suggest like the MMR system that it would be on a per killer basis, the reason for that is as an example the Hag, the Hag is one of the best killers out there IF you play her well but by far most dont have the skill or will to learn her well so they just end up camping, hooking in the basement, placing 5 traps on the way up and return to the hook when they know someone must be going for the unhook (at a snails pace), I would personally rate that behavior down but that same player, not having the option to do that with lets say Clown, might play fun and fairly as clown so I would only want to match toxic with toxic if they are playing hag.
Hope that makes some sense, just my 2 cents, im all for it the system though as the game is getting more and more draining to me with how players play.

Like the "Salt Mines" from Friday 13th? It could work, if the player could be rehabilitated along the way and earn their way back to normal games.

I just don't think a system based off of the thumbs up/down feature should be implemented at all. This community is known for the salty players across all platforms. All it takes is for one SWF to get pissed off about losing to a killer for that one guy to get 4 reports for bad sportsmanship and then be placed with people who actually played #########.

Dont you think everyone is aware of this and therefor the way its counted up, the numbers/data behind it, are made to account for this?
Its like saying you cant go to the moon because a plane cannot breach the atmosphere or return back to earth afterwards...I mean yeah, true, sooo lets develop a spaceshuttle so we can do it?

I'm sorry, but what? Only thing I got out of that was numbers. So going off that, people who lose either don't react or give a thumbs down, and people who win just don't react. If there aren't people reacting positively to balance out people reacting negatively, then the player(s) is screwed.

Lets flip this around to show you how much of a non-issue it is, lets say you are in control of designing this system, what would you do?
Maybe force people to leave a vote? maybe a non-vote counts as somewhat possitive? maybe 4 man SWF all rating down is taken a bit less harshly? maybe the end score data is also taken into account regarding how the voting is judged (for example someone dying on first hook maybe points towards camping thus the votes are taken with a bit more value) etc etc
There are tons of options to make this work and otherwise we can just experiment until it works the best it can.

And maybe instead of unnecessary and complicated rules we leave it as it is? Right now report system works perfectly. Is there a proof of you cheating? Yes? Ban. No? Nothing.
Banning system is supposed to take care of cheaters. Now ask yourself 2 questions? How many times you eccountered a cheater, and how many times you eccountered salty player? Because whichever you`ve seen more will have deciding factor in bans. And worst part is that vote against cheater has exactly same weight as vote against you "just because i feel like it".
Picture this, SWF with cheater, except after match killer reports cheater and all SWFs report killer. This is system in which 99% bans will hit normal players. And cheaters will just slip by.

Xbox has a similarly described auto ban feature to what what explained on stream and it is completely exploited by salty players. Iv been flagged on my account for just playing Killer so I 100% expect DBD auto ban system to be just as flawed.
If you want to look up examples of how this system will be flawed just look up Xbox auto ban or "Needs Work/Avoid Me" status reddit or support posts.

that is not a perfect system though, its extremely convoluted fro the person reporting, if the system kept track of everythign itself and you can just report without also linking their accoutn, your accoutn, your number, and footage and even more then sure, but that is not how it works so I dont even bother reporting anymore and just move on.
Does not make me enjoy the game any more though.
And there is nothing complicated about it, you just report, the system behind the scenes will attach value, that is all, and its also not unnecessary seeing people have been complaining about toxic behavior since the dawn of this game.
As I said in the initial post, this is not so much about dealing with cheaters as it is dealing with toxic players.

I quit for today because 3 games ended with people dc'ing as soon as killer downed them or started to face camp. Then they are salty in post game chat.
My suggestion would be to scrap auto ban. Get rid of pre match and post match chat for good. Do away with it. Instead give the option to thumbs up someone for being a good teammate or whatever. Similar to the way Overwatch does it.
Then if people dc = take a rank away. Next time they do it take 2. It could reset at the end of each month. Missing 5 minutes does nothing. Hit the dc'ers where it hurts, in the rank department. No one wants to be a rank 20. DC enough and you will be is a nice fix for those that dc a lot.
This would fix the dc aand make the game better.
