Seriously, this perk needs a buff. It should help against more status effects than it currently does.
It doesn’t need to be meta. Just better than it currently is.

To be honest, its outdated because many status effects are permanent nowadays.
It should be change so that performing cooperative actions gives you tokens, which you can use to instantly get rid off any status effect you or another survivor has. Just make it so it can't remove status effects given by killer powers and there you have a decent perk.

What if Vigil made permanent effects except for Exposed timed too? (albeit slow timer like exhaustion, probably with even longer time)

True since exhaustion is the only status effect that you can count on to be timed and not permanent.
If you used my suggestion, you can use the perk for many different things like mangled, oblivious or even broken. It would be a much more useful perk.

I’ll use it for an all aura build. Even though Blindness add ons are rare, they’re still very crippling to my builds.

I have a very stupid idea, but I must share:
What if Vigil allowed you to recover from Exhaustion while running, but with double the cooldown?
For example, Sprint Burst causes Exhaustion for 40 seconds. Vigil would raise it to 80, but you would recover while running.
It is probably a bad idea, but I felt like sharing.

Exhaustion was made so you couldn't recover while running for a reason. Let's not go back to that again

I believe Vigil is mean to help other people, which mean it should affect others, not on yourself.
I do have these ideas, not going to fix the new negative status though:
- Other survivors stay near you at 8m range will get 48% recover speed for one survivor (the effect has no linger), 26% for two survivors, 13% for 3 survivors.
- Everytime you safe unhook a survivor, you gain a token (stack up to 3). Press 2nd ability button when stand next to a survivor to perform a 5sec action, all negative effects will be removed from them (even removing Victor), lose a token. Any debuffed survivors within your 8m will have red aura to show they're affected.

Yes, but the game was much more survivor sided back then and you didn't need a perk for it.

If it could help fix broken, it would already immediately gain synergy with Deliverance, Second Wind, and most importantly, For the People.
