Casual Match

Can we get a casual mode for this game? It doesn't seem to be a complicated thing to do. You can try to fix the matchmaking as much as you want, but at very least we should have a casual setting that allows us to play just some chill matches with random ranks at the same time. Every time that I start to get into the higher ranks, the game just becomes miserable. I play both roles, but I enjoy way more the killer one due to the gameplay variety that each killer give us. But every time that I start to get matches with better survivors as I progress through the ranks, I am forced to play with Nurse (with specific addons) if I want to get any winning consistency that relies on my own skill, and not on me playing well + survivors committing a handful of mistakes. Nurse is my favorite killer, but I like to have the option to play with others as well, without them coming with a disclaimer "you will suffer if you pick me".

Give me a casual mode where I can just pick a weak killer and still have fun with it. Not everyone wants to play survivor, or just play the killers that basically play their own game inside DBD.

I actually only play chilled and relaxed and I think many players take this game way too seriously. I would celebrate a casual mode.

How do you casually play killer. I’m being serious. Like do you just walk around and if I see someone I’ll hit the but if not oh well. I guess I’m not understanding what everyone is talking about for casual mode

I play so that I don't care if I pip or not. I don't get upset when someone blinds me or teabags me. I just try to take it easy. Sure, I chase survivor and try to hook them, but I don't have to win at all costs. I try to be efficient while staying calm. But I don't camp unless there is a reason to and I give everyone a chance to unhook their mate safely.

At least that's my own definition of a relaxed style of play. For others, that may be different.

I can well imagine that the basic mood in such matches is a much more relaxed and less aggressive, with perhaps less teabagging at the exit and insults in the end chat.

    This game already is casual

So why we still are locked into ranked matches? That's exactly the point of a casual mode. This game is not nearly close to be balanced so we can have some variety when it comes to high rank matches. It's not every time that I want to play nurse/ spirit, or suffer playing a m1 killer. I can win matches with regular killers, even at the red ranks. But more often than not you face good survivors that know that you're as intimidating as a potato bag rolling after then as long as they have you running in a good loop. DBD is not a game that I want to test my skills in every match, because I know that are too many factors out of my control in every game that already determines who will "win" before it even started. Just give me a casual mode where people don't care that much about who will win, and specially mixing people of all skill levels.

Either that or make every killer somewhat viable. But I figure that creating a casual mode would be easier than that, considering that we still have the same type of problems that we had 5 years ago when it comes to balance, and honestly I don't even know if this game can be balanced at all. (Once again, you can win games with every killer even at the high ranks, but as soon as you get two survivor teams in a row, that can play with you in any way they want unless you are a Nurse/ hag or spirit, it can feel very underwhelming)

I've constructed an idea for this.

Solo que should be a match of 5 players, one chosen at random to play Killer.

    Add SWF que

Killer main que gets matched with SWF que

Solo play would become "casual" mode.

So what happens in casual mode. No perks addons or items

That would be a very cool "casual mode". And even making people experiment a bit by playing both roles.

I play every killer at rank one, alot of games can be very chill and casual, while others arent. They will never buff alot of the killers because alot of the player base already complains now imagine if they was buffed lol.

So again will casual mode be without perks addons and items

I don't think it's a good idea to force one of the players to go with a role they don't enjoy. What if I wanna play Huntress but the game decided I'm going to be a Survivor? What if playing Killer makes me nervous and the game decides I can't play the side I prefer?

If it was the only solo queue mode, I'd quit. If your idea is having the current mode we have and the two others, OK.

I don't want to be forced to play a role I don't feel at the right moment I press "Ready". And I don't want to be "punished" because I have no friend to play with.

Unfortunately, casual game modes never work. People always jump in to beat the absolute shite out of random casuals because that's what they find fun.

Much better would be a semi-functional matchmaking system that forces sweaty players to go against sweaty players and actually lets people drop out of sweaty play.

The reason this game is so successful is because people could choose a side to play. This would essentially kill the game, because suddenly you're being mega punished for wanting to play killer and also being mega punished for wanting to play with your friends.

Choosing what role to play is an enormous part of this game. People shouldn't have that choice taken away just because they don't want to have miserable trials or don't have friends to play with.

High ranking survivors are almost always potatoes. It's so easy to rank up as survivor that the average rank 1 survivor should be at rank 15. Ranking up as killer, however, is much more difficult because the emblems don't favor you. Most rank 1 killers deserve their rank. You should have no problem at least 2king in all of your games as killer.

Every killer is viable, it's just a matter of degree. If you want to win without effort, play Spirit, or survivor.

I personally haven't gone up against a good Nurse in a long time, unfortunately. They are quite rare. And Spirit? For some reason I haven't seen her very much either. All I get now are Demos and Bubba's, not that I'm complaining about that.

And as killer, all I get are potatoes. I main Nurse, yes, but I could also win the games I play as her with any other killer, besides maybe Trickster, as I don't have a good build on him yet.

These are the survivors that I normally get:

And I handicapped myself very heavily in this match too, to make it last longer than about 2 minutes. If this isn't casual idk what is, especially considering I'm not a comp player.

We have a casual mode. It is called Custom Game. Gather your friends or people interested and go knock yourself out.

With mmr on its way, separate modes with and without mmr are a must, not many people want to sweat their asses off every game if there a good player, cause it gets pretty boring
