I am now fully, 100% convinced that they run no tests on consoles prior to releasing them. Both games Iโve played on RPD have resulted in my game crashing. Imagine RE fans coming over from playing village, which runs extremely well even on the old consoles, to a 5 year old game that constantly stutters, freezes and crashes.

Alright guys RPD has been Disabled. We have suffered another Mount Ormond Disaster where the map canโt run on consoles so itโs disabled. Welp at least I can play Nemesis without crashing

Nemesis is causing plenty of freezes on other maps. Console is having rough time with his AI zombies on top of his power.

Don't blame QA. It's 100% a management problem. The Twins release for example was obviously unfinished and broken, but it was released anyway. QA doesn't have the power to decide that a release is happening.
Someone somewhere in management is the equivalent of the "This is fine" dog (the fire represents the broken releases). Things do get fixed, but after the patch releases.
The mentality of releasing first and then fixing later is causing all kinds of problems and it's not QA who decides that.

Game is impossible to play for me now on PS4. Freezes, stutters and the whole thing when something happens. It's also much worse then before the 5.0.0 patch.
I wonder if they even test this game on the consoles at their studio. It feels like they don't.
I was really thinking about buying this DLC, but forget it. I just can't explain the purchase to myself when the game is this broken on console. Sorry BHVR, but this is just ridiculous.

Blight, Twins, Trickster and now Nemesis have been in varying states of playability upon their release to Console's

What a surprise. You even think about playing Nemesis and the game lags. It's not even laggy, it just freezes and crashes.

Finally got a match that wasn't v Nemesis or on the new map. Huntress on Sanctum of Wrath. So many freezes. Every time she'd wind up her hatchets I'd freeze and then again when she'd let go. Any time what I would assume would be "survivor found" on the killer side I'd freeze. It was horrible getting into chases. Basically any interactions with the killer make the game run even worse than normal.

It sucks that essentially nothing has worked in regards to getting BHVR's attention. It seems they are dedicated to ignoring console optimization.

I keep looking under their Twitter replies hoping that people would be more upset about this, but it seems that people only care about linked sets and trying to get their favorite characters in the game...

The game on steam just hit its all time peak player count.
Iโd imagine console is also hitting peak numbers right now considering most people play RE on console.
What an embarrassing moment for them, but hey theyโre making money, right?

I have a good PC, but I'm not grinding years of work again and losing exclusives with no way to get them back, nor am I gonna pay hundreds of dollars to play a game that should run perfectly fine, and was said to be getting improved, on the consoles it was launched on.
DBD is not graphically intensive nor complicated and big. There's no reason it shouldn't run great on the consoles we have right now.
If they're not gonna optimize, give us cross progression at least. We should get it anyway, but c'mon.
That's also assuming switching will fix the issue as well, people are reporting issues on PS5 and Mid-high PCs as well. The optimization needs to be improved.

For years we've warned them. Over the past several months we all collectively laid out the problems, and basically begged & pleaded with them to address game performance.
Now they work out a deal with the biggest partner imaginable that will bring in eyes from everywhere. Steam hits an all-time player count, no doubt consoles does as well, and after a few hours they have dissable the map.
Disappointment coupled with not being surprised. Best way to sum it up.
I don't want the game to fail, or for people walk away. I want everyone everywhere to be able to enjoy DBD as the devs have tried to lovingly craft it.
Whatever in house is in the way, that's where the serious work must begin. Simply put, things can no longer proceed this way.

So just checked out the bot mode oh my the frame drops are unreal it's like really bad on ps4 I'm yet to actually play a match almost scared to after seeing the performance issues in bot mode ๐ฌ๐ท

For anyone wondering, yes, the game does freeze pretty much every time you take out the tentacle.

It's so bad on ps4. It feels like last fall when ps4 was unplayable. ๐

I got a good amount of stuttering on Badham while playing Nemesis, fps drops as well :( Usually it runs quite smoothly (pretty strong gaming laptop) but it seems performance recieved a significant hit this update.

Just had a match v Nemesis on Ormond. While it was bad for the survivors it definitely had to be worse for the killer.

Ooofff the frame drops as survivor are just wow it frame dropped when the killer hooked survivors, it frame dropped every time blight used his power also any time he hit someone ....
What is this madness what? I'm so scared to even attempt playing killer ๐ท๐ญ

I just had a match against Blight on one of the new Coldwind maps. I was freezing just running. When he'd use his power it was so much worse.

It's unplayable like you can't do anything with out frame drops happening it's definitely not lag at all either I was supposed to be streaming this tomorrow I don't think I can with it in this state ๐ฌ
