Balance Tunneling.
Something needs done about tunneling. And by tunneling I mean throwing the whole game for one person. Ignoring all other survivors. Singling one person out the entire game. There needs to be something to help balance tunneling. I'm not allowed to leave the game when I'm being bullied, which forces me to endure the toxicity. But no repercussions for the killer being abusive? There's only so much teammates can do to help. DS is nerfed. BT doesn't help. Where is punishment for bullying one person an entire match? I want a speed reduction for the killer when they are tunneling, until they can no longer move for 40 seconds. A detection of when a killer is spending too much time on one survivor, to encourage them to move on. Chase other survivors. Kick some gens. Apply map pressure. Why doesn't this exist? Why is there no encouragement to stop tunneling and play a fair game?

DS still works against tunneling, and BT most certainly helps.
You cannot punish a killer for working towards their only objective, even though it can be scummy.

You can't really control another's players decision to focus a single player out of the game.
If the killer wants to throw the entire game let the other 3 survivors escape by focusing on person to death, what's the actual problem here? It's a PVP game, your opponent is not in charge of making sure you have a fun enjoyable game.
DS was nerfed, but it would still be effective against tunneling off hook.

What would be so wrong about controlling a toxic environment? Nothing. There's nothing wrong with controlling a toxic environment. There needs to be limits, and there really aren't any. DS and BT are timed, they do not help if you're being chased long enough.

Tunneling is not always toxic.

Because there's a bunch of times where tunneling is fine and good. I had a game today where tinker triggered, I downed someone, i left completely, they got off hook, tinker triggered again, so I went back, same person, downed them, hooked them, left completely, then the same thing happened and i killed them. Under anti tunneling rules do I HAVE to give up that gen because the same guy keeps going back to it? What about the guy who got unhooked and started opening a chest right next to the hook? Do I HAVE to let them get a free item and time while they open a chest in my face because they just got unhooked?
I know not every killer is the same, but I pretty much only tunnel when the survivors are forcing me to, or when they are serving themselves up on a silver platter, and feel like I would be getting handicapped for bad survivor play i fi were punished for it.
I tend to favor solutions that reward killers, and grant killers the information required, to go after other people.

Tunneling is a term for tunnel vision. Tunnel vision is singling out ONE survivor for a very long amount of time. If you hooked someone else and then go back to the other survivor, that is not tunneling. I am talking about full on singling out ONE survivor the entire match. If the survivor is touching a gen, they are not being tunneled. If they are opening a chest, they are not being tunneled. A killer hyper focusing on one survivor, ignoring all other objectives and survivors, is tunneling. There needs to be encouragement to move on and chase others. A higher reward system even for chasing others, downing others.

Like I said DS and BT do not prevent being singled out for 5 gens.

honestly 2 me ive never considered ds an anti tunneling perk, if a killer wants to tunnel ds will not stop them

Then to what length should an anti-tunnel perk do if not what it already accomplishes? If you buffed it, it would be old DS all over again. And tunneling is a strategy, and it's not even that good of a strategy most of the time either.

it doesn't work in solo q, they are not repairing ''at all''

tunneling is a strategy so no

There are lots of things which already balance Tunneling as a tactic. You, and your peers, have to apply them. That means taking protection hits, stealing chases, bringing the appropriate Perks, and sometimes trading hooks. This is a 4v1 and you balance the strength (and tactics) of the Killer with your own. Yours involve multiple people. Until you and the other Survivors get on the same page and start to coordinate to protect one another, the Killer will pick and choose who he/she wants to chase.

In summary, you cannot create other builds, only always carry the meta perks (ds, borrowtime) and the game die there ... it's a shame that this happens.

As a survivor, you have many advantages that will help you when you get tunneled. DS is still absolutely sufficient, because if you really stall the killer for 60 seconds, then you've bought your teammates some serious time.
In some cases it makes sense for the killer to make a 3 vs 1 out of the game. Then the weakest link in the chain is tunneled away. A common tactic.
Some killers are just special and enjoy spoiling the game for you. Maybe they don't like the skin you're using, maybe you pissed them off first, maybe the player is just having a bad day. Whatever the reason, it's not against the rules. And the killer gets deductions in his emblems anyway, because he didn't make enough hooks or too few kills.
If it happens to you in between, then check it off and go to the next round.

Am I high or does OP not understand what game balance is? They start off by saying that they aren't talking about normal tunneling but throwing the game to kill 1 survivor tunneling then says that there is no repercussion for doing this, is throwing the game not punishment enough? what do you want bhvr to do? perma ban them for tunneling someone?

Punishing killers for taking to long on downing a survivor? Hhmmm... you know like gens being done and most of them escaping? Didn't you state that they are throwing the match for one person and therefore the end result is a loss. Is that not repercussions for you know throwing the game?

I wouldn't mind seeing DS activate on both hook states regardless of prior use or not.
